“This is not a review of the cinema I visited but it more about the impact of your plastic cups that come with a Fanta Blast. These cups are made out of thick plastic and can be either dispose of or taken home; this doesn't defeat the object of reducing the waste of plastic. They should be provided in a more environment cup or at least have an incentive where people come back and get a reduce drink if they return there cup to use when ordering that drink again. You have replaced the straws to prevent one use plastic which are useless, but you have an inconsistencies in other areas.”

Rotten evening. Partner took time off work and drove the 40min journey and paid for parking only to be refused entry to see Venom (15) as my 16 year old son didn’t have photographic ID. Showed copy of NHS script, school documentation and photos of 16th birthday party but no common sense shown by staff and now making a sad journey home.”

Going to the link on the back of a giftcard, ended in error!
Trying to use said gift card to make a purchase unsuccessful. As I learnt you can't! Its unheard of.
So having a gift card is a handicap as I either have to spend 30 minutes going to the cinema ahead of time or risking family being split or missing out on seats altogether in busy movies.
Not been in a couple of years as Cineworld is much closer, and they accept gift cards online no problem. As it stands can't see going back anytime soon.

“Was a fire alarm before film started, so we were evacuated. We left promptly leaving our ice cream sundaes and drinks in the seats, we attended the next day and were refunded our tickets but that's it. So really out of pocket of £13 nevermind parking charges, baby sitter etc”
“The queuing system at the Vue Cinema Darlington is appalling. On a Saturday night they have 5 staff when there are 9 positions available. This however is not the real problem, the real problem is all the staff do all the jobs i.e. they sell you tickets for the film, make your hotdogs/drinks/slushies etc and if they run out of something they disappear for 10 minutes or more to find it. Coupled with the fact they work at snails pace leads to a very annoying experience. If Vue think that by keeping you waiting 40 minutes to buy your film tickets you will also buy the very over-priced snacks, they are sorely mistaken! My friend and I just wanted to get our tickets and see the film. Luckily we had allowed 1 hour to buy our film tickets so we could have a drink and a catch-up before the film. For goodness sake Vue, designate 1 till for the purchase of film tickets only!”
