“Booked a Gas safety test and EICR due to part exchanging my current property for a new build. Gas inspection went well with no issues to report and whilst the e EICR inspection went smoothly it could not be passed due to remedial work being required to bring it in line with safety requirements (new consumer unit with better RCD protection). After getting a quote for the residual works I shopped around and Nationwide Surveyors were the cheapest by far, so I booked the work and a Friday appointment was agreed. On the morning of the appointment, I got a call to say the engineer had been involved in a car accident so couldn’t attend and an alternative appointment was made for the Sunday. I will be honest and admit I was extremely sceptical that the engineer would turn up on a Sunday, especially after reading some negative reviews. I was convinced I had made a bad choice. How wrong I was! The engineer turned up on the Sunday as promised and installed the new consumer unit. He was extremely friendly and explained everything as he went along and the quality of his work was top class. At the end of the install he went through everything that had been highlighted in the original report and explained what had been done to correct it. He also made sure I was 100% happy and ensured everything worked before he cleaned up any mess from the install and left. I received the updated report the following day as promised. Overall I am extremely happy with the service provided by Nationwide Surveyors and will be using them again in the future.”

“Unfortunately I had a poor service… mainly caused by the engineer. The first appoint was cancelled after I’d set off from home which was frustrating as I had taken a day off work. The second appointment the engineers car broke down. I was left waiting over 4 hours in an empty flat waiting to see if he was coming. I made 5 calls… every time asking for the engineer up contact me directly which he didn’t. I ended up leaving the property unlocked as I live 3 hours away and could no return again. He eventually turned up the following afternoon. This is obviously not satisfactory and I was really not pleased.”
