Hi Heather!
I'm not sure why you feel this is misleading. It connects to your houses' WiFi, which is what it says it does on the page.
We can see about getting the camera swapped to something that doesn't use WiFi - you've had the camera for nearly 2 months, but let us know and we'll see what we can do. Please email shop@naturespy.org.
“It took several hours over several days to find someone to decipher the instructions. I am unable to adjust the settings as I do not have an in-house Einstein, just occasional visitors, who appeared to be IT savvy, who tried to help. Most couldn't!
Far too cpmplicated. As far away from user-friendly as it is possible to be. Huge gaps of information which was needed. What consumer research was done? There are simple systems in use by various companies using other products.
Too many faults to list!
I have recently boutght a "Ring" security light. Once installed it was self explanatory.
It is time to kill the concept of "intuitive usage". I have plenty of intuitive knowledge in fields that the creators of "NantureSpy" might obscure and incomprehensible.
One man's intuition is another man's frustration!”
“Very disappointed. Sent email asking for phon6e call as I struggle with IT . Described my issue...screenshots were OK into gallery but videos not going into gallery. Reply was don't do phone calls try this link. Link was what I had already done to get as far as my problem. After 6 hours I gave in. My conclusion, my basic phone couldn't handle video from the camera. Emailed to tell I was returning camera and for a 2nd was told they rely on emails to snag issues. NOT IMPRESSED.”
Hi Paul,
I appreciate you've said you struggled with IT here, and helping you set up the WiFi camera you've purchased via telephone support is extremely tricky. We need information on email as otherwise it can be very difficult and often more frustrating for customers as we try and imagine what they're seeing based on what they're telling us from their phone screen. Based on what you said, we sent a reply with instructions and also a video showing you what to do to view the clips on your phone. Ultimately a WiFi Wildlife camera does require some basic IT knowledge unfortunately - it is a wireless camera that works with an app on a smartphone, as advertised. If you are not comfortable with technical items, it was likely to be a product you would struggle with unfortunately.
We've now had the camera back from you and issued the refund, which we were more than happy to do and best of luck in the future.
