I've had a non-business site hosted with Netcetera for over 10 years. Chosen because they were inexpensive and had solid reviews at the time. I run our works website and would never use Netcetera, though. I've only stuck with them because my package is so cheap. However there have been lots of problems. Webmail was always shonky and is now utterly broken. DB management is terrible. They've literally lost my site about 3 or 4 times. This year was the last straw - my entire site lost along with any recovery data held on their side. No apologies from them and now even when they got a database working again it's grindingly slow. Helpdesk sort of fix things but new problems always appear. They've gotten far less helpful, too. Not rude, but there's no sense of customer care. Dreading trying to transfer my domain away...

Finally escaped from Netcetera and horrible service throughout. Even leaving them was made difficult and has taken years. Everything is too much trouble, their systems don't work and support is the most unhelpful I have come across. Don't touch with a very long pole. Have finally escaped to Krystal Hosting who have been superb

I fully agree with other reviews, this hoster is awful and their 'customer service' seems to be run by a competitor that want to put them out of business. I've been a customer for over 5 years and they simply demanded that I remove important digitally signed files that have been there all these years. I had to move my business on the spot. I would NOT recommend these 5 persons (according to LinkedIN) running the show for anything else then a hello-world site. They do provide some humor in their payoff "Passionate about hosting, committed to service". Yea right!

STAY AWAY. The customer service with this company is awful. I've been with them for the past 7 years and they've been nothing but hassle. My IP address consistently gets blocked, meaning I can neither send nor receive emails without contacting them to ask them to manually 'unblock it'. After which they NEVER give me a straight answer when I ask what the reasons for the IP address block are. They also never answer their phones. Save yourself a lot of stress and go with another hosting company.

Stay away from these guys. I was affiliated with them and they figured out a scammy way to NOT pay up my commissions. Basically, as soon as I filed a request to withdraw my commissions, I start receiving emails stating that the sales generated by me (as an affiliated) were fraudulent. More specifically I received 34 emails that were saying that my commission was removed due to a fraudulent transaction. I contacted them and they said that these transactions were marked as fraud by their system. So convenient. When an affiliate requests for withdrawal, we mark his/her commissions as fraudulent so he/she will not be eligible for a payment request. What this has to do with you, as a consumer you might think? Well, if they are scamming their affiliates what is stopping them to not treat you the same as a customer?

We've been ordering a .ngo domain in January, it is still not working. Dozens of support tickets did not help. Support always tells us to "be patient" and promises the problem would magically disappear in about 10 days. Still no progress. Never again!

My site is hosted with netcetera on the designer package (£5.99 per month) and it is down with an internal 500 server error more than it is live. I have asked for the issues to looked into on several occasions and the response never addresses the root problem. The site goes live again for a few minutes and then it's down again. No one seems to listen!!! Very bad!!!

1) Had to buy a spam filter (included in a lot of other hosting platforms) 2) Couldn't control spam with the filter. No matter how strict the settings were, they didn't have an effect. Was receiving 2+ spam emails per minute. Over 200 every hour. 3) netcetera support was non-existent. Too many emails went to them asking for help. Out of several replies, all were 'canned' replies that didn't address my question except one, which indicated the problem was finally understood and they would look into it.... no further replies from them. I had switched one of my many resold accounts from Hostgator to 'test the waters' at netcetera. I was very pleased with all aspects except it was impossible to conduct business with so much spam coming in. So I had to switch back to Hostgator which offers free Spam-Assassin which is extremely effective and easy to set up. So long netcetera.

Recently I couldn't access my website for 2 days due to DOS attach issue but it was never communicated. I have forwarded my website details to someone for a demo purpose during this time. Ended up explaining the reasons who doesn't understand the technicality of DOS attach

If you can't be bothered to tell me what it was I purchased with Netcetera then you are not a company that has respect for your customers. I have no idea what it was ( I use the Internet to buy many things) and to just send me a message that I recently made a purchase from you, and expect me to search and find out what it was, is very bad. So basically on what you sent me - don't rate you at all !!
