“my wife bought my ford s-max from a ford dealer in ireland, who had imported it from the UK. After changing the battery myself, I needed the PIN code but it was not written into the manual as it sometimes is. This happened late on a Sunday evening, so I did not have time to investigate further, I was just happy that the car was working. My wife called into the ford dealer the next day, but they could not help as it was a UK import and Ford Ireland would not have a record of it. The proposed solution was to charge her €20 to remove the stereo to see the serial code and then make a special application to Ford UK for the PIN number which would cost a further €40. she did not go ahead and some googling on my part led me to the online radio codes website and in less than 10 mins I had the code I needed for just £9.99.”
