“I was trying to get onto the official land regstry's online site when OnlineLandRegsistry.co.uk popped up. Naively I clicked on the address - it gave a comment for me to ask for a call back which I clicked on. I said i wanted to gift the property to my granddaughter and how do i go about doing that. The guy who had phoned told me that it would cost £200 which I paid- he then gave me the no of a different " dept" who he said would help sort the situation.
Once again I rang that no who gave me a spiel about how it worked and said that I had to pay another £ 600+ -
Aware as I am that Govt sites have become expensive this seemed very exorbitant and I started to ask question. The person then put the phone down.
I am out of pocket to £ 200
How do I go about claiming a refund.

“We were refused a refund by onlinelandregistry.org.uk despite being given false and misleading information by there so called sales team and the company not actually doing anything for us. We have now taken legal advice which may result in a court case against them if they refuse our refund again after our final e-mail. We are probably more fortunate than most as our friend owns her own solicitors firm in London but feel very sorry for anyone who has been ripped off and doesn't have the funds to fight this fraudulent company.”
“This company gives the illusion of being the Land Registry which it is not, avoid at all costs and use the real UK Gov site.
They charged me £119 for forms which are just a few pounds from the real Land Registry site.
It really is criminal”
“I like others it seems have fallen to believing I was dealing with Land Registry and being charge £60 by this company to send me 2 website links for AP1 and TR1 forms to download that can be got from the Gov website for free.
Don’t Be Caught Out Like Me. And Others!
I thought I was paying for the whole application not just some web links.
Terrible practice in my opinion.”
“I, like others, have used this service thinking it was an official website. Paid £27 for a drawing. Same day, found out it costs £3 from the official Land Registry website.
This company makes money by making you think it is the official website just by using a very similarly worded website address.
Save yourself lots of money by going to the official gov.uk website.”
“On the 27th July I contacted onlinelandregistry.org.uk to purchase a copy of my land deeds. I spoke to someone over the phone who said two documents were available so recommended I purchased the latest copy which I did.
After purchasing the gentlemen I spoke to informed me that for some unknown reason the documents were not available for immediate download and would therefore take up to 10 days to arrive. Not a problem.
After chasing onlinelandregistry.org.uk I eventually received an email from them on the 18th August telling me that the documents I requested were no longer available. I contacted onlinelandregistry.org.uk via email and received a very offish email from Becky the enquiries Officer telling me that the documents were available when the order was placed but they were then removed. She continued to tell me that on this occasion (like she was doing me a favour?) she would change the order and send me the older documents.
On the 31st August I emailed onlinelandregistry.org.uk again, chasing my order and the documents. On the 2nd September I received another email telling me neither documents were now available and I would get a partial refund !!
On the 4th September I received a 50% refund!!
I have emailed Becky at onlinelandregistry.org.uk but as of yet have received no response and I'm not expecting one.
I have paid for a service (documents) that I was told were available. Onlinelandregistry.org.uk have not delivered on there side of the contract of sale.
I have given them an opportunity to refund me in full but this has not happened.
Another pointer (hindsight is a wonderful thing). Try contacting the company!. If you try to contact them via a phone once you've placed your order you are told that all correspondence is via email. I wonder why ?
Luckily for me one side of my family are solicitors so I will be taking there advice to decide what I action I should take. It's only £12.00 that they owe me (Total order was for £24.00) but its the principal not the money.
However, this does not stop other customers from getting conned by onlinelandregistry.org.uk which is why I have decided to post this review.
I'm sure some customers have had a great experience but you can tell how good a company is by how they respond when things go wrong and this is where they have failed.
If onlinelandregistry.org.uk decide to contact me with a full refund then I will amend this review. Until then I would strongly recommend that you use another company.
Thanks for reading and good luck.”
