I KNOW this because I spoke to many online energy comparing services companies, and they told me that the competitive rates I could get if I switch was less than \u00a31000, which is more than 50% CHEAPER than opus energy.\r\n\r\nPlease everyone DO NOT renew your contracts or join with Opus Energy ever, as they are extortionately overcharging small family owned businesses and exploiting them. Instead go online and do research via Google\/energy comparison companies, and you could save your business tens or thousands of pounds on energy usage, YES TENS OF THOUSANDS."

"Was not informed my contract was ending\u2026\r\nWas not informed my contract was ending which then went from \u00a360 per month to \u00a3400\r\nWhen I\u2019ve rang to complain they said they sent \u201ca letter\u201d out, so one letter which I didn\u2019t receive (how can you rely on the postal service if it isn\u2019t recorded) plus she confirmed they don\u2019t send email reminders yet I get an bill emailed each month.. Why ? Seems it\u2019s a scam to get you to pay extortionate amounts.\r\nWhether or not I\u2019m on a fixed rate I didn\u2019t give permission to take money out of my account.\r\nSTANDING CHARGE WENT FROM \u00a31.35 to \u00a317.84 a DAY !!!\r\nI\u2019m speaking with citizens advice and currently reaching out to the financial and electrical ombudsman plus trading standards"

"We were informed today that they won't be renewing our fixed term business tariff, due to the fact that we don't use enough energy!!! We could of course go onto the monthly variable tariff at a huge increase in price..... In these days of environmental awareness and global warming, we have as a small business been keen to be green... Obviously Opus do not agree with this mantra, as we need to be burning fuel 24\/7, and at a rate of knots, to be allowed to patronise their service.... Unbelievable. Almost as unbelievable as the trite, corporate email they sent to explain why my business is no longer welcome.... And yes, we've always paid our bills via direct debit before it's assumed we were debtors!!!!"
