“Wow, what a weekend! Four of us shacked up in the Kickback Camper and toured around Speyside on the hunt for whisky. The van was modern and immaculately kept as echoed in the other comments. We opted for the awning as per Michaels advice and it worked out perfectly. He suggested a couple of great wild camping spots along our route and we took it from there. Taking dips in the river then warming up with a BBQ and whisky isn’t a bad way to spend a few days. I cannot stress enough how much of a pleasure it was to deal with Michael and the OutThere team. We checked out a few places prior to finding these guys and the rest were put to shame. The price was very reasonable and the service is excellent. We’ll definitely be giving OutThere a call next year because we still have the Highland and Islay malts on our radar!”

“Just enjoyed our second winter trip in the High Kick, this time to Skye. It’s perfect for touring this time of year as it’s cosy, comfortable and well equipped, even had space to rig up a line to dry wet waterproofs! The van was spotless, great service again from Michael and there was an excellent special offer on the price.”

“Motorhome is much more luxurious and finished to the smallest detail when comparing to the U.S. while certainly not smaller.Air heater is not noisy and gas mileage is very good. No lose or vibrating parts which would produce noise when driving. Mr Michael Surmon left nothing to wish for. Everything was there, salt and pepper, very sharp cutting knife, cutting board meat and separate for veggie.. towels,glasses..you name it..really complete. He was able to supply lots of information and even went further in helping you with issues such searching for hotel and train info. And when train to Inverness was delayed for 30 min, causing overall delay of 3 hrs in travelplans, he simply said: no worries, i will drive you up to Inverness. Superb!!”

“This year was our second time for using the services of OUTTHERECAMPERVANS on both occasions the help and support has been brilliant. The booking process was fast, efficient and very easy to follow, this level of customer service was then complemented by meeting us with the van and guiding us through the how to do things. Michael does all he can to ensure things run smoothly, even booking hotels for us when we had a mishap with connecting trains. Both vans we have used have been clean and comfortable with all ‘mod cons’ provided within. They have been a pleasure to drive across a wide range of roads that the Highlands and Islands of Scotland offer. Before you leave Michael he ensures you are confident with what you have learnt and offers to assist if any problems occur once you have left him. We have never needed to take up this offer as the vans are totally reliable. On returning you are met by Michael at the location of your choosing and he is genuinely interested in your holiday and that he has been able to facilitate you having a good relaxing time. It is obvious from Michael that he genuinely wants to facilitate people being able to explore the world and have a good time and gets a great deal of pleasure in doing so. Because of Michael’s attitude and the quality of his vans we are already planning our third trip to northern Scotland.”

“What a great way to discover a whole new way of spending our holiday and exploring, having never used a ‘camper van’ before. Everything was on board to make our holiday easy, from maps, recommendations of where to go and what to see through to corkscrews and the useful cooking facilities. The Big Kicks Cruiser (BKC) was a delight to drive, comfortable to relax in and cosy when the outside temperature dropped to less than -10 degrees. Although some of the more remote roads and tracks we travelled along were small, narrow, not maintained and very steep. The BKC took it all I her stride and never batted an eye-lid even the ascent from Loch Kishorn over Cattle Pass to Applecross. There was breath-taking scenery all the way up the ascent at least for those with a head for heights, then just as good during the descent. Alongside the actual mobile home the welcome, support and general friendliness of Michael Surmon was genuine and heartfelt. Having missed a train, the next one was delayed, he kindly arranged a hotel room for us and changed delivery plans as if we were the only customers in the world. What more could you ask for? Having now enjoyed the experience Outthere Campers can give we are looking forward to renewing this next year when we explore other parts of northern Scotland and the islands. Thanks Michael and will be in touch to book for next year.”

“Michael, Thank you for the excellent service, and a great holiday, I’m so glad I finally gave it a go! A campervan holiday is something that I have wanted to do for some years and I have always put off. However this year at short notice I decided to go for it and Out There Campers managed to squeeze my booking in with some minor tweaks even though I was looking for a non standard duration and start date. We had the smaller van for the first weekend and then swapped over to the motor home for the following week, and to be honest it was the best arrangement as I managed to experience both van styles (although I’m still unsure which one I preferred). Both the vans were very well equipped and we needed absolutely nothing except the food that we ate and the clothes that we wore. Michael was superb in explaing everything to us non campers, and only a phone call away if needed will definitely be camper-vaning again and I will not look past Out there Campers the next time.”

“Thank you so much for our recent campervan adventure! We - me, Aaron, Aila (5) and Lexi (2) had so much fun travelling on the Isle of Skye. We were so impressed with your organisation and regular communication in the run-up to our trip and then when we saw our campervan we were beyond impressed! What an incredible fit-out, the van was so well organised and everything we could need was there (including a cafetiere for coffee - brilliant!) Our kids absolutely loved the van and couldn’t wait to get their bed made in the pop-up roof every night. In fact, it has been a struggle to get them to sleep in a normal bed since the trip. We were blessed with beautiful weather during our trip too which made it even more perfect for me to show off my homeland to my Australian hubby and kids. At the end of the trip Aila said she wanted to stay in the campervan for another 6 weeks….if only!! Thanks so much for everything, it was great to meet you and Roly was so lovely when we dropped the van off - we have been recommending you to everyone!”

“Just a note to say what a fabulous time we had in the Highlander, and how well looked after we felt both by you and Roly. Nothing was ever too much trouble and your enthusiasm is infectious. We toured around the NW coast from Applecross upto Durness and beyond, spending nights in spectacular isolation and walking beautiful deserted beaches. We even swam! We’ll be back!”

“The High Kick Campervan recently proved the perfect vehicle choice for me to take to the Highland roads for my coastal art project , where I had to be in different locations every day bright and early, ready to set up and lead art workshops in schools in the most remote locations. Being able to park up wherever I found a convenient spot was wonderful and the bonus was waking up in the mornings and being able to make a cup of coffee while taking in stunning views all around in great comfort. I would recommend the company and their vans to anyone, I certainly hope to use them again.”
