“I have always bought Perdue. But now I have been getting what looks like lab meat. It don't smell right, don't cook or taste right and it's chewy. I spent alit of money on your product. Not happy about it. I'm on a fixed income, can't afford to waste money on a terrible product. Sorry it was never like that”
“This is the fourth time I bought perdue oegani harvestland. Each time I think the next package will be OK. Not so. Each package the chicken is tough woody stringy awful. It's the last package I will buy. I had no choice but to order my groceries.”
“Chickens are always good but.....this one I had to remove ALOT of feathers!! Someone was in a hurry to go home that day!!! Not sure if I'll eat the skin on this one. Get your plucking act together Purdue.”
“Very disappointed with the Purdue/ Wellsney Farms chicken legs. Must of been some really young chicken because they were smaller than wings. Oh and nice packing, can't see what you are buying. I've always trusted this brand.”
“I am disappointed by their marketing that “Purdue Chickens do not have any antibiotics” when the facts are that it’s no longer legal for antibiotics to be used in chickens.”
“I bought Perdue Chicken Gizzards in 20 oz tub. FYI There is NOT 20 oz in there. I make homemade raw cat food for my Maine Coon. I have to weigh out everything to make sure it’s balanced. I should have got 3 batches and a lil left over with one tub. I only got 2 batches and a lil left over. I weighed it all and I had 14.3oz on there. I use 6.15oz per batch. I’m HIGHLY disappointed! If they did this to every tub they are making ore of a profit. Instead of 1.36 a tub at Walmart for the 20oz that should have been there- it’s more like 1.90 for the tub. That’s paying for each oz. The true oz. So be careful, you’re not getting the amount you think you are. Who would actually weigh the gizzards? ME! Because I have too.”
“Bought Chicken thighs with skin on. The net weight was 5.3 pounds. I was curious to see how much skin and fat was i was gonna dispose. The weight of skin and fat came out to be 1.1 pound. The I measured the actual meat and it came out to be 3.1 pound. It only added up to 4.2 pound. Where did 1.1 chicken go. Turns out Perdue is charging us for weight of box which is 1.1 pound. Never trust this brand.”
“recently purchased Perdue boneless chicken breast; had an odd brownish color, odd smell, and tough and chewy after I cooked it. All done with this product Chicken should never be chewy.”
“I have bought Petdue for years. The ladt six months the chicken is terrible. It's fatty, stingy, tastes funny. I'm not spending all that money for lab meat.”
“Worst tasting chicken ever. My kids won't eat it so, as much as I tried so as not to waste the money I spent on it, I tried to eat it but I just can't. I threw so much away because it was just taking up space. Never again.”
“I have been consistently dissatisfied with all fresh Purdue chicken purchased from Walmart. Are you selling Walmart sub par chicken? It tastes metallic and bland. No rich chicken taste like I remember as a child. My German Shepherd dog who is a great judge of good food, will not TOUCH PERDUE CHICKEN. I'm serous. Perdue chicken is terrible. All cuts and especially whole birds. Awful! All the seasoning in the world cannot mask the off putting metallic taste. Sad. Purdue used to be good. I'm going to local farms for my chicken. More money, but I know what I am buying. Don't buy Purdue. Something is very wrong. My dog isn't stupid. He can sniff out cancer, so his nose isn't lying.”
“Instead of getting for Christmas the Ultimate10 package I got 15 lbs of Chicken Breasts and a Whole chicken No seasonings a bag and seeds If I could have sent it back to you I would have!!! My Sister (Joanne Read) bought me(Susanne Reilly) for Christmas What a Big Disappointment !! NEVER AGAIN”
“You may want to let the people in your labs know that chicken meat doesn't grow in layers... Seems weird that all of your boneless breast meat is in actual layers. If you want to fool the public at least make the meat looks natural not in multi layers..”
“Recently recieved chicken thighs as part of the advertised 99.00 deal.
The chicken thighs were not suitable for human consumption.
All fat with the smallest amount of actual chicken. Disgraceful customer service. Will pass this information along. That's it! What little chicken that was suitable was boiled and was part of my dogs meal.”
“We did a chicken BBQ last weekend using Perdue leg quarters , I was very disappointed . When we opened the cases of chicken there were some leg quarters but there was also a lot of backs , drumsticks and a occasional wing in the cases . When I grill to sell to the public I expect quality not garbage and this was garbage it should have been used as soup pieces not sale , along with the mix of cuts there was no uniformity in the pieces , some were so scrawny they weren't worth the time. Hopefully someone up the ladder pays attention to this because it was embarrassing as well as a rip off .”
