“We had an AMAZING time!! The boat was beautiful. The staff was attentive and naturalist were engaging and made the trip so memorable. If I had to give any constructive criticism, an acknowledgement of my sons birthday would have been a nice touch (his bday is 7/26 but for a 10 year old it’s all month long!)”

We’re so sorry to hear about this issue with your sons birthday. At Quasar we are all about celebrating life's great moments and we take a lot of pride in the excellent service and attention to detail that we provide to all our guests. What you experienced is certainly not common on our adventures. On our trip registration forms we provide a section to include the date for the celebration of any special events while on the cruise. If you did fill out this section we will investigate the issue in detail and get back to you with further comments. However, regardless of the reason behind this mishap, we do apologize for not acknowledging your sons birthday while he was a guest in our home. We'll make it up to him :). “Traveling with a group of seven people, ages 9-75, could be very challenging. Quasar Evolution solved every possible problem, by creating the perfect travel experience. Cruising, by nature, can be fattening, boring, overwhelming, no fun at all. This cruise was the polar opposite. We were involved with activities from the minute we hit the boat. Because there were only 29 passengers, we met everyone right away, we had a group name for off boat activities so we always knew when and where and what. The food was healthy, traditional, tasty, using local fruits and veggies. We had a different, beautiful dessert after lunch and dinner, daily. The activities ranged from hiking, long and short, up and down, rocky and beachy, to snorkling, easy to very challenging with naturalists/guides who helped me personally and watched over everyone, kayaking which was so much fun because the sea lions put on a great show worthy of Seaworld. Each day's activities were posted the night before, with all the information we needed for shoes, clothes, time, etc. The night before a naturalist chatted, amiably, about some phase of Darwin's islands. Then we all walked to dinner. Drinks were great, sunsets were better than great, casual attire all the time. We all talked to each other, experiencing a slice of other people's lives. Children? Treated like gold. The kids were all pretty great, enjoying the same activities as adults. If a person did not want to go on an adventure, that was OK too. Best trip ever.”

“My family and I had an amazing time on the Evolution. My kids are 9 and 11. My wife and I were not sure if they would enjoy it but they loved it beyond words. Best trip we have ever taken. Everyone involved was amazing, from booking with Diane, to Bolo and Soto, the naturalist guides, to everyone else on the boat. Truly special experience.”

“Wonderful, wonderful experience. From the moment we contacted quasar about booking our trip experience was seamless. Paul and Diane were wonderful and answered every question we had. Every island we visited was extraordinary and the naturalists made our trip. They are some of the most knowledgeable people I have already encountered and are so passionate about their job. All of the staff were lovely and very attentive. The chef, David, was beyond accommodating and would make certain foods for my picky husband to ensure we were all well fed. The bartender Caesar was amazing! I very much enjoyed the nightly educational presentations I would recommend bringing a USB as some of the guides take pictures to share but they are not available electronically. In addition we booked our flights outside of quasar and I would not recommend flying home out of Guayaquil. Our flight was cancelled for 24 hours whereas if we flew out of Quito there would be many more options to fly home from. However even with our poor flight home experience (which we booked ourselves) the trip was so wonderful we would do it all over again! We will definitely travel with Quasar again!”

“The Quasar Galápagos experience for our family is unforgettable and beyond our expectation. I stayed at A-2 suite and the room was always kept nice and clean. The programs of trip were so nicely designed that we really had great time. I particularly enjoyed to talk to my naturalist Bolla, he is humorous, knowledgeable but also very responsible. The food service was also incredible. Because of ambience was so nice, all 32 guests got along extremely well. I definitely will recommend Quasar to my son and my oldest daughter’s family! “Trip of a lifetime aboard M/Y Grace, the most beautiful boat in the Galápagos with the most wonderful staff. It was like having a safari at sea! Every day I woke to new surroundings and had new adventures. My husband and I snorkeled with sea lions, sea iguanas, penguins, sea turtles and a multitude of fish. We hiked lava fields and cactus forests where we saw beautiful birds, lizards, land iguanas and more. We kayaked and we ate like kings and queens! Every meal included three courses and was plated just for us by our chef. Our room was well attended to on a daily basis. The Grace was well cared for and clean from top to bottom. Honestly, I cried a few tears when we left the ship to travel home. This trip I will never, ever forget!”

“2 guest, who became friends told me they had taken this trip with Quasar Expedition on the ship Evolution before which I thought odd with all the places to go in the world. Now I see why. From the very first contact with the Office Staff, Naturalist Guides and the entire ship staff, all were outstanding and I give the highest praise.”

“Quasar was fantastic to work with! This was the first time I booked directly with the tour operator to book a vacation rather than working with a travel agent. Diane and Paul exceeded expectations and answered all of my many questions. I got a quick response from the Quito team after advising them of my arrival delay in Guayaquil. They made sure the Wyndham transfer was there and waiting. This was my 2nd time to the Galapagos on the M/V Evolution and the islands continue to amaze me -- new things to see!! Baby Boobies and Baby Albatrosses! Our naturalists on board were Boli, Rogelio and Lola. They were extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and made sure everyone had an incredible time. This trip is an adventure of a lifetime! Thank You Quasar!!!”

“First, I want to thank Bolo, Alex, Cristina, Frank, Steve, Irina, and the rest of the crew for making us feel as "old friends". You made the trip a memorable one! This trip was absolutely wonderful. Our expectations were greatly exceeded. The activities were well planned and very exciting, the food was delicious and healthy, the drinks prepared by Frank were fantastic. I believe that I'm running out of good adjectives to describe this experience. I would recommend Quasar, and the Evolution Yacht to everyone. It's a must!!!”

“Excellent service. We received detailed instructions to help us prepare for the trip. Everything was arranged to our satisfaction. The list of things to bring is extensive. I'd suggest they edit it as a few things we brought were unnecessary.”

“The Quasar experience was wonderful. The crew and the naturalists were helpful, knowledgable, personable and fun. While smaller than your typical cruise ship, the Evolution was quite nicely appointed with nice finishes and stylish touches. It is nicer than the larger cruise ships. The food was also plentiful, healthful and well presented. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.”

“This group takes care of everything. Even before you land in Ecuador you know that there is someone waiting to assist you at the airport. All the paperwork has been done for you from 1st to last day and they personally have representatives to guide you. Our cabin was spacious and beautiful. The crew was anxious to make sure you had everything you needed and more. The excursions were informative and led by expert naturalists who care for each of the group's members. On the last day of our trip, we renewed our wedding vows. The crew surprised us by decorating our cabin, leaving a bottle of champagne and chocolates. This is indeed the group to go with for a trip of a lifetime.”

“My family all agreed that this was the best vacation. Quasar makes planning the trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos a breeze. They really took care of every detail. We had extremely high expectations for our time aboard the Evolution and it far exceeded what I'd hoped for. The boat is in excellent condition, the staff and crew graciously attended to our every need and the naturalists made our time feel like a total adventure. As a bonus, our fellow passengers that week were fantastic. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Gracias Quasar!”
