“From my very first outreach to Paul Schicke at Quasar, I knew I had chosen the right outfit to book my Galapagos expedition. I was coordinating a trip for 12 friends & Paul went out of his way to schedule multiple zoom calls to answer all my group's questions-- starting over a year in advance of our trip! The process really assured us all that we'd be in great hands & boy were we in for the time of our lives! Our group had various needs (from the physical challenges of some/ to dietary needs of others) and we were all accomodated for in such a personal special way. I celebrated a "big" birthday while on the Grace, and the crew all knew ahead of time about this event & made my trip really one to remember. The Galapagos was a life long bucket list destination for me and the experience exceeded all my expectations. I cannot recommend Quasar & the Grace more highly! We also really enjoyed our time in Quito. The guide (JP) was excellent and tailored our city tour to really suit our groups interests.”

“This was a trip of a lifetime. The scenery in Patagonia and the Atacama Desert was beyond belief. We have never experienced such beauty every time we took a turn on our hikes. The remoteness of the Patagonia region gave the whole feeling like we were exploring the unexplored. When we showed our pictures to our family and friends, the most common thing they said is "It doesn't look real". The trip was expertly planned and executed by Quasar. Each driver and guide was top notch and professional. All the transportation and logistical details were planned and executed flawlessly. When our scheduled guide for our eight day trip through Patagonia unexpectedly was sick, Quasar had a new guide ready for us within two hours. Our guide Eduardo (Lalo) was superb. He is a local and his experience with the Chilean side of Patagonia was vast. He knew the best places to hike to and all of the secret viewpoints that were beyond the typical tourist areas. He was always concerned about our safety and was able to quickly alter our scheduled agenda when the wind was a bit too strong for certain areas. He was the number one reason our trip to Patagonia was so fantastic. The choice of hikes were all very appropriate to our skill level. The local contacts and excursions in the Patagonia and Atacama Desert were top notch. The accomodations were all stunning and the views were so much better than we could have imagined. The hotel staff and guides were well beyond what we expected. The food was incredible and plentiful. The choice of accomodations could not have been better. We have been on over 80 trips in our lifetime, and this ranks in the top three. I thank each and every person we met and spent time with for a wonderful vacation and for the most memorable moments.”

“I was able to spend two weeks on the Grace, which allowed me to visit the maximum number of islands possible. There was a crew change after the first week, with new Naturalists for the second week. All four Naturalists were knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure each passenger saw and experienced every aspect of flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands. Everyone of the 16 crew members contributed to making this the best cruise I've been on. Note: that's 16 for a passanger list of 15 people. You won't find this passenger to crew ratio any where else.”

“Traveling through the Galápagos Islands aboard Quasar’s Grace Yacht was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From start to finish, everything was so well organized, intimate, and thoughtfully executed. The yacht itself was beautiful—comfortable, spacious, and perfectly suited for exploring such a remote and pristine destination. With a small group onboard, the experience felt personal and immersive rather than touristy. Every day brought new adventures: snorkeling alongside sea lions, observing marine iguanas, giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, penguins, and so much more—often just steps away. Our guides were outstanding—extremely knowledgeable, passionate about conservation, and genuinely excited to share the islands with us. The crew went above and beyond to make everyone feel cared for and comfortable. The service was warm, attentive, and seamless, and the food exceeded expectations—fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared after full days of exploration. “We highly recommend Natalie and the team at Quasar! Their knowledge of the area, customer service, and network of contacts are all above and beyond! Although there are several tour operators we could have chosen to help with our trip to Patagonia, we narrowed it down to Quasar - family owned, based in Chile and have years of experience. It was an easy decision, and they didn’t disappoint! The trip was expertly planned with key towns to be based, places to stay, sites to see, hikes to do, transportation options (car rental, private shuttles, guides, etc), the perfect number of days at each destination and so much more. Quasar’s attention to detail made our adventure trip go as smooth as possible. They are experts at helping with the schedule, precise itinerary/timing, securing necessary paperwork, etc. - all the things that made this a stress-free trip. Quasar also has a large network of on-the-ground resources - drivers, guides, etc. - all are experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. “As a geneticist, visiting the Galapagos Islands is high up on my bucket list. Our two-week trip on the Grace Yacht far exceeded my expectations in every way. As a novice snorkeler (who can barely swim in a pool), I was very worried that I would not be able to enjoy the daily snorkeling outings. However, the Quasar team made sure that I had a wonderful snorkeling experience. One of the naturalists guided me on every snorkeling outing (with me donning a life jacket and holding on to a life saver ring for added insurance) so I could see amazing fish, sea turtles, sharks, and sea lions in action (see photo of sea lion curious about my bright orange life jacket and life-saver ring). Furthermore, the naturalists were most knowledgeable and taught me a lot about evolution and the amazing wildlife on the islands. I learned so much about the different birds, iguanas, sea lions, tortoises, and marine life around the islands. We also enjoyed the beautiful hikes that took us to see the natural habitats of the wildlife there. The yacht was well equipped and nicely maintained, with a most friendly and professional crew. The chef served up wonderful food and the bartender went out of his way to make us delicious, non-alcoholic drinks. Eating three meals a day with our very interesting and pleasant fellow travelers was a highlight of the trip. We also enjoyed the pre- and post-cruise outings booked through Quasar in Quito. All-in-all, a fabulous experience from the time we landed in Quito to the time we flew back home. We felt very well taken care of by an outstanding Quasar team from beginning to end.”

Top notch accommodations with great food. And an itinerary that kept us busy but not overwhelming. “I will never forget my time in the Galápagos on the Evolution. As much as I love to travel solo, I'm very much of a worrier, but the Quasar team and their guides left no questions unanswered---in fact, I didn't even have to ask any logistical questions. They cover all the bases from the get-go, which is a relief. The only downside to the trip was when I cried in the airport because I didn't want to leave my guides (Bolo, Soto, and Cristina who are all incredible, unbelievably knowledgable people), my new friends, and the wildlife. People always say "up-close-and-personal" encounters, but you don't understand the gravity of it until your guide teaches you how to dance with a sea lion. A small little detail I especially appreciated is that Quasar's guides are quick to ask if you want a photo, which is nice for a solo traveler. It can be daunting to ask for yourself, and they care deeply for the beauty of the islands and know how special it is to people to have memories to take home.”

“From start to finish, Quasar Expeditions exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail was top-notch—from the thoughtfully planned daily itinerary to the delicious and healthy meals, every aspect was perfectly executed. “The Copeland family of 10 had an outstanding week on Yacht Grace. We were treated like very special people and the staff were fantastic. It would be wrong to single people out but I found the Captain to be efficient & charming and he led a hugely motivated team whose sole aim was to give us a worthwhile, informative holiday. Monica was a superb guide, Ariane ensured we were looked after to the highest standard and I was most grateful to Melanie for ensuring our room was always immaculate. Thank you so much Quesar.
