“Phenomenal trip, probably the best I’ve been on so far. We booked a Galapagos trip for our honeymoon, with add-ons for Quito and La Selva lodge in the Amazon. Quasar exceeded our expectations in every way. The activities were plentiful and well-executed, the food was excellent and the naturalist guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. I knew we would see animals but I didn’t expect to get close to so many sea lions, penguins, flightless cormorants, boobies, sun fish, sea turtles, baby sharks, giant tortoises, and many many others. The guides were also excellent in Quito and at La Selva lodge, where we also saw more animals than is believeable. Quasar did a great job with logistics for all legs of our trip and I could not be happier with how everything turned out.”

“From start to finish it was an outstanding experience, one of my best trips ever. The guides were fabulous, the itinerary was perfect, the hotels and food were wonderful. “To the lucky person reading this review. If you were reading this review, you are probably considering Quasar for your next adventure trip. You are lucky indeed, because Quasar will give you one of the best vacation adventures you have ever had. For the last 30 years my wife and I have planned our own adventure and luxury travel and we’ve been to many of the great wilderness and mountain regions of the western hemisphere. But when we decided to check Patagonia off our bucket list, we knew it was time for the professionals. We could not have been happier with choosing Quasar to plan and complete our Patagonia adventure. From the very start, from planning with Tasha and Natalie to our exceptional guides accompanying us throughout our time in Patagonia, Quasar has been with us every step of the way. We particularly want to mention Daniella, who accompanying us throughout our time in both Chile and Argentina. She made sure that everything we wanted was provided, and that our stays and the various lodges were enjoyable and comfortable. She provided us with excellent advice choosing our hikes and, me being a photographer, helping find the most photogenic spots. We also would like to mention Meli , who was our guide in El Chalten and accompanied me on my various hikes in the Mount Fitz Roy region; an excellent guide and a very enjoyable companion. Everything was first rate; the vehicles, the lodges, meals, box lunches, side trips, tours… everything. Choose Quasar, you wouldn’t be sorry. We would choose Quasar again in a heartbeat.”

“Our 5 person family trip to the Galapagos with Quasar surpassed all of my expectations regarding adventure travel. They were able to take a group who ranged in age from 10 - 79 and make it special for everyone from playing in the water with frolicking baby sea lions to witnessing 2 orca whales up close due to the vigilant eye of our panga driver. I had not snorkeled for a very long time but the guides worked me through my terepidations with patience and professionalism. Two adventures/day made each day physically and educationally outstanding especially with the very highly qualified naturalists that accompanied us. The food was outstanding - fresh, healthy and varied; the accomodations clean and comfortable and most importantly the staff were all very friendly, professional and incredibly attuned to everyone's needs. Our trip with Quasar on the Evolution was a truly memorable experience.”

“This is our second Galapagos expedition with Quasar on the Grace. Clearly, we loved the first visit or we would not have spent the money and time to come back again on the other itinerary. We are not "big cruise ship people", but we definitely love being on the water and visit natural surroundings with scenery and animals. The experience on the Grace is just outstanding. The staff is first rate and so friendly, the food is outstanding, and the naturalists are great to be around. We also love that there are two naturalists for the 16 passengers so the group sizes are small. We really felt like all the passenger and crew became part of our family.”

“A trip with over 10 years of planning finally came true this year thanks to Quasar. Patagonia had been on our bucket list for years but the complexity of planning a trip over such a vast area and coordination of travel and sites to see was daunting. We just returned from 2weeks in Patagonia. The lodging was first class and meals outstanding, but the highlight was the expert guides and magnificent views. Everything was planned perfectly from the itinerary to boxed lunches ready every morning to maximize our time hiking and sightseeing. I highly recommend Quasar for Patagonia travel and appreciate their conservation efforts and trees planted in our names in the national parks.”

“Quasar is an outstanding company providing expert led trips to Patagonia and Galapagos. I've enjoyed each immensely! The guides were knowledgeable and accommodating of all our requests. The work done before our arrival was helpful and handled thoroughly. The expeditions each day were beautiful and they must have a way with the weather because we had great days!!! “It was a great trip. More upper end than I usually go on, but my partner picked it out and I really enjoyed it. Yes there was a greater expense than I'm used to, but it didn't feel over the top. Everything that was needed to make this a great and safe trip was provided without feeling like "too much", just what was necessary to make it all work. A special note. The ship's captain was very good at presenting himself as confident, experienced, intelligent, accessible, everything. Dressed in white, epaulets, the figure of authority. So what did he do on snorkeling expeditions when he didn't have to command the ship. He personally snorkeled with my partner, who doesn't swim, but who bravely got in the ocean, with some safety flotation, and the captain of the 200' Evolution, with 31 guests and 29 staff, personally kept her safe, and secure by staying with her and enabling her to enjoy that great experience of being in the marine environment with those special animals. Enough said!”

“I appreciated the help designing this vacation. I could not have done it without their help. Patagonia was magnificent. Everything we planned went off perfectly, without a hitch. We chose to go without a guide and the GPS provided with our car was great - everything we were to see was programmed, making it very easy to travel with confidence.”

“My wife Lindsay and I have never had such a perfect travel experience as we did with Quasar. From the months of planning with Tasha to the end of the trip, we always had the advice and expertise of Quasar and their staff and partners to rely on. During the planning process we had many questions and concerns that Tasha handled with patience and experience, She helped us understand all of the places she recommended and what to expect. Once on the trip we were met on time and with a smile and information on what we would be doing. The guides were exceptional. They lead us to the spots we were scheduled to see and recommended other things we should do while we were under their care. It is hard to pick out the most memorable excusion but we were most surprised by the 'Cooking Experience". We expected a cooking lesson where the chef talks about what to do and you maybe get to do some cooking. The experience was totally different. The chef first guided us through all the four food halls in Santiago, stopping to pick up some fish along the way. Then we retreated to his appartment which was fully equipped for catering which is what he does. It also has a view of the Andes to the east. After appertiff's of oysters on the half shell, we went into his kitchen where we made two delicious dishes under his direction. We then feasted on the dishes while samplng 3 wines. Each hotel was 5 star and each one very unusual. For example the Singular Pennisula , an abandoned sheep processing bulding located in Puerto Bories, has obtained international honors for its unique luxury services and for its mastery in preserving the old factory's massive machinery while integrating it into the modern style of the building. The old refrigeration rooms have been turned into lofty rooms and suites with amazing views of the Fjord of last hope. Bur probably the most unusual lodging was the Aguas Arriba Lodge. Hand built from stone and natural woods, the lodge features five generous suites. The owners live there and are very gracious with their attention to each guest. This is where I was rewarded with a sunrise view of Mount Fitz Roy, attached. In closing, Quasar has set a standard that will be hard to duplicate much less beat. From the planning to the finale - everything was better that expected. We will certainly use Quasar in the future. Bob Felton and Lindsay Wallis”

“Absolutely spectacular - trip of a lifetime. While the Quasar Evolution is my only experience cruising the Galapagos, I wouldn't change a thing! The ship is beautiful. Staff wonderful. Guides are so incredible - their love and knowledge of the place and its creatures is hard to describe. Delicious food. Very busy days exploring, hiking, snorkeling (many days over 3 hours in total) and generally being in awe of one of the most amazing places on the planet. If there is any way you can, GO!”

“My wife and I recently returned from a Quasar organized adventure to both the Amazon and the Galapagos Islands. Each trip was about a week long. Our adventure to the Amazon originated in Quito, Ecuador where we acclimated to the altitude and with a guide, toured the beautiful and historic city of Quito. From Quito, by way of plane and boat, we travelled into the Amazon and stayed at the wonderful, La Selva. With excellent guides we explored the jungle waterways by small boat, hiked, climbed 215 steps to the forest canopy to view monkeys and birds, and viisited a native community and school. From Quito we travelled to the Galapagos and by ship toured extensively on the MV Evolution (shout out to 'pilot' Vincent). The crew was extremely accomodating, guides were phenomenal, and the hikes, small boat adventures and snorkeling was exceptional. Diane at Quasar organized our trip and and in great detail prepared our itinerary. The planning and preparation was beyond expectation.
