“DISAPPOINTING QUALITY, NOT AS DESCRIBED AND APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from Rattan Warehouse to think carefully before placing an order. My experience has been absolutely dreadful from beginning to end. I paid £824 for a garden furniture set and waited three months for it to arrive. After such a long wait, I expected decent-quality furniture that matched the website description. Unfortunately, what arrived was a huge disappointment. The construction was flimsy, the plastic rattan looked cheap, and the overall finish was poor. This was not the standard of furniture I expected for £824. To make matters worse, the glass tabletop arrived smashed. The furniture was also not as described. The website advertised the chairs and sofas as fully assembled, yet the components arrived separately and required assembly. After waiting three months, this was certainly not the experience I had expected. Getting the problem resolved was just as disappointing as the furniture itself. I was offered partial refunds to keep the set, but I was not prepared to accept them. I had paid for furniture that was damaged and not as described, and I wanted the matter resolved properly. I eventually had to take the dispute through PayPal. After a lengthy and stressful process, providing evidence and pursuing an appeal, PayPal found in my favour and refunded the full £824. You might think that would be the end of the matter, but no. Returning the furniture became another saga. I paid £100 for a courier to return the bulky set, but the delivery was unsuccessful amid problems with the address and the seller accepting the goods. There were repeated emails, phone calls and considerable frustration. Rattan Warehouse eventually arranged for its own driver to collect the furniture, and it has finally been collected. However, despite repeatedly requesting reimbursement, the company has refused to refund the £100 courier cost I incurred while trying to return the goods within PayPal’s timeframe. So, after waiting three months for poor-quality furniture that was not as described and arrived with smashed glass, I then spent months trying to resolve the matter and was left £100 out of pocket for the courier. The quality of the product, the lengthy wait, the damage on arrival and the handling of the complaint have left me thoroughly dissatisfied. An £824 purchase should not turn into months of stress and hassle just to get your money back. I am grateful that PayPal ultimately found in my favour, but that does not excuse the experience I have had with this company. My advice to prospective customers is to read reviews carefully and consider whether the risk is worth it. I certainly wish I had done more research before buying. I would never buy from Rattan Warehouse again, and I cannot recommend them based on my experience.”

“Ordered garden furniture in April. Paid £ 1,300. Rattan Warehouse confirmed delivery first week in June. June arrived and they contacted us to say the furniture would not be in the UK until mid July. Chased mid July, "It's being unloaded this week" and we will arrange immediate delivery. Two more weeks, and nothing. We eventually decide to cancel the order at the end of July, and they then ask us if they could deliver end of that week. We said 'no' and want a full refund. Since this date, the company have not replied or engaged with us in any way! Please avoid this company at all costs. I find it staggering that they are even allowed to operate like this!”

“Horrible scamming company. No furniture delivery since may and no refund. They will never answer through phone and only communicate/lie through emails via Lewis. Do not spend any money with them. We have lost over £1000”

“I would advise to not use this company!! And don't believe all the positive reviews, some relate to 2025. I paid for furniture in April. They said it would be 1 June. But then in July said they didn't have it. Today we had 50% of our money back and we now have to go through our bank to claim the full refund.”

“Don’t use - it’s a scam. Ordered furniture 9 weeks ago, nothing received. We’ve requested a full refund by email. They don’t answer emails regularly or the phone at all. We will asking be our credit card company to reclaim the funds under a section 75.”

“Consumer Warning: Rattan Warehouse – delivery failures, pressure to drop PayPal disputes, and threats of court action. I am writing this to alert future buyers about the deceptive practices of Rattan Warehouse. After placing my order, I faced multiple missed delivery windows paired with endless excuses, stalling tactics, and a complete lack of genuine communication. When I formally cancelled, the company's tactics became highly aggressive. Management subjected me to a hostile phone call, attempting to bully and intimidate me. They made multiple frantic attempts to get me to cancel my PayPal dispute, falsely claiming that I could "just open it again if I didn't get my refund." This is a blatant lie to strip consumers of their financial protection, as closed PayPal disputes cannot be reopened. They further pressured me to take down my honest Trustpilot review and went as far as threatening me with civil court action to recover "damages" for speaking out.I stood my ground. PayPal has now investigated and closed the case fully in my favour.Do not trust their website's delivery promises or their artificially inflated high ratings. If you are having issues with them, DO NOT close your dispute under any circumstances until your money is safe. Let PayPal or your bank handle them. Evidence of their extortion and threats has been fully logged with UK Trading Standards.”

“We ordered a dining set from Rattan Warehouse on 4th May, and what should have been a straightforward purchase turned into months of frustration. Initially, Lewis contacted us with a delivery date that unfortunately fell during our holiday. After explaining this, he assured us he would try to arrange delivery before we went away. Our holiday came and went with no further communication. After chasing the order ourselves, we were given two separate delivery dates. The furniture arrived on neither. In the end, I had to contact the pallet delivery company directly and arrange delivery myself because Rattan Warehouse failed to do so. During that conversation, the pallet company informed me they had no record of our delivery until 15th June. This made it clear that, despite being told Lewis would try to get the order to us before our holiday, no delivery had even been arranged until well after we had returned. When the order finally arrived, it was incorrect. We received the wrong table, one chair in a completely different style, and a damaged parasol. We contacted Lewis again, as getting through on the company’s phone lines appears to be impossible. We were told the familiar line, “We’ll get this sorted.” Unfortunately, nothing happened, and we were left to chase everything ourselves once again. It took repeated emails and constant chasing before the incorrect items were finally collected and replacements arranged. Even then, another promised delivery date came and went before the correct furniture eventually arrived. Throughout this ordeal, we requested a partial refund on six separate occasions to compensate for the inconvenience, delays, incorrect items, and damaged goods. Every single request was ignored. The level of customer service is summed up perfectly by the email we eventually received: “The Mistakes that happened i am very sorry about and regarding the Vans again i do apologise. I am very pleased you have now got the full set of furniture and you can use in the Summer now we are having.” This lack of professionalism reflects our entire experience with the company. Poor communication, broken promises, missed delivery dates, incorrect and damaged products, and complete disregard for customer concerns. The furniture has finally arrived, but only after months of unnecessary stress and an unacceptable amount of chasing. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from Rattan Warehouse to think twice. Based on our experience, I would not purchase from them again.”

“Appalling customer service. So rude and unprofessional. Do not buy without base for parasol. We literally put it up for a minute to try and it tilted and smashed. The response when I emailed to say it was dangerous was just so rude it took my breath away, more than the actual incident.”
