My experience with Regency Insurance has been extremely negative and frustrating. Based on my experience, people should be very careful before taking insurance with this company. Even when you take what is presented as a “full comprehensive” policy, the reality is very different once you actually need to make a claim. The policy may look complete at first sight, but when you carefully read the clauses and exclusions, it becomes clear that there always seems to be a way for Regency to avoid paying. In practice, you pay a lot of money for coverage that may not give you the protection you expect when you really need it. The claim handling has been slow, repetitive, and disappointing. Instead of supporting the insured person, the process feels like a search for reasons not to reimburse or approve the claim. Documents are questioned, clauses are used against you, and the responsibility is pushed back to the customer. For me, this is not what a health insurance company should stand for. When people pay for comprehensive coverage, they expect professional support, clear communication, and fair claim handling, not endless obstacles and excuses. I seriously regret choosing Regency Insurance and would not recommend them. In my opinion, people should stay away and carefully compare not only the price, but especially the clauses, exclusions, and real claim experience before signing anything.

STILL waiting for follow up regarding my enquiry which began with Simon Stracey on June 2nd. I had to go ahead with travel to Singapore for immediate health concerns and I STILL HAVE HAD NO RESPONSE. Apparently my case has to be reviewed by a ‘panel’. So here I am in Singapore - I have paid thousands of dollars for tests, accommodation and flights and STILL 17 days after my first enquiry I have had NO RESOLUTION!!! God forbid should I have life threatening injuries - I would NOT be trusting this company with anything. 😡 regarding my enquiry which began with Simon Stracey on June 2nd. I had to just go ahead with travel to Singapore for immediate health concerns and I STILL HAVE HAD NO RESPONSE FROM REGENCY! (even though I explained I had a small window of time in which I could have the tests due to work) Apparently my case has to be reviewed by a ‘panel’. It’s been well OVER TWO WEEKS since I was advised this from the claims department So here I am in Singapore - I have paid thousands of dollars for tests, accommodation and flights dollars and STILL 17 days after my first enquiry I have had NO RESOLUTION!!! I entrusted Regency with my family’s health after being hounded by at least 16 emails from the sales representative trying to get me to change from my existing expat insurance. What a mistake!!!! 16 emails getting me to switch to Regency…… 17 days and no resolution. NOT GOOD ENOUGH 😡

My experience with Regency Health Insurance has been extremely disappointing. The claims handling process has been slow, frustrating, and, in my opinion, highly unprofessional. Documents that were already submitted were apparently not reviewed properly, and I was repeatedly asked for information that was already clearly included in the medical reports provided. What I find most concerning is the lack of care, accuracy, and accountability in the way my claim has been handled. As a patient, you expect your insurance provider to review medical documents carefully, communicate clearly, and support you during a stressful situation. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. The communication feels careless and repetitive, with no clear explanation of what is actually missing or why the same information keeps being requested. This is not the level of professionalism I expect from a health insurance company. Based on my experience, I have serious doubts about Regency’s professionalism, customer care, and commitment to fair claim handling. I would not recommend Regency Health Insurance.

I took out a life insurance policy with Regency for Expats earlier this year and the process was quick and very clear. The team answered questions without the usual runaround and the pricing was competitive for international cover. The policy documents were simple to understand and the onboarding felt organised. I have dealt with other expat insurers before and this was far less painful. So far the service has been reliable and I feel confident I made the right choice.

I moved from Madrid to Seoul last year, and honestly the health system here is good, but navigating everything as a foreigner is confusing. After checking different international plans, I chose Regency for Expats because some other Spaniards in Korea recommended it to me. So far the experience has been very positive. Setting up the policy was simple, and the customer service replied faster than I expected. Their English is clear and easy, which helps a lot when it’s not my first language. The best thing for me is the way they handle questions. I travel a lot around Asia for work, and every time I ask something about coverage in another country, they answer very direct and without complicated language. When I had to visit a clinic in Seoul for back pain, they confirmed everything by email in a few minutes, so I felt comfortable before going. Prices are reasonable compared to other international insurers I looked at, and I like that the plan feels stable. No surprises, no strange charges, nothing hidden. I recommend Regency if you are an expat living in Korea and you want something international but still easy to understand. It gives me peace of mind while living far from home.

I’ve been with Regency for Expats for a little while now, and the experience has been solid from the start. The signup process was quick, the pricing was clear, and I got my documents faster than I expected. What stood out most was how easy it was to actually speak to someone when I had questions. No passing around, no waiting forever, just direct answers that made sense. I had one situation where I needed clarification on coverage before travelling, and the support team came back to me the same afternoon with everything laid out in plain language. It gave me a lot of confidence that if something serious ever happened, they’d handle it properly. Overall, it feels like a company that knows the expat world and doesn’t overcomplicate things. Smooth experience, good communication, and a service that does what it says it will. Would recommend.

Good value health insurance backed up by super professional service. Compared a lot of health insurance companies and settled on Regency. was cheaper with better cover which made me a little bit worried. All my worries were put to bed when I made my first claims and they were paid straight away with no quibbles. 100% recommend this company.

Avoid Regency for Expats at all costs! I paid for their insurance in full, expecting real protection in case of accident. Instead, when I was hospitalised twice with serious injuries, Regency ignored my emails, gave me endless excuses under fake “panel” names, and refused to pay a single baht. • My policy invoice clearly states the start date: 03 July 2025. Regency still tried to twist dates and delay. • They advertise direct payment to hospitals, yet I had to chase the hospital myself while Regency did absolutely nothing. • They hide behind names like “Jenny Martin” and “Maria Cassidy” but never provide real contacts or help. I am still waiting for a vital inpatient treatment. Regency for Expats are doing the opposite of helping — at this rate, with their “assistance,” I could be dead before I ever receive the care I urgently need. This company has shown zero professionalism, zero support, and zero respect for their clients. I am preparing legal action, and I will make sure this behaviour is exposed publicly and in court. ⚠️ If you value your health and money, stay away from Regency for Expats.

I strongly advise anyone considering Regency Medical Insurance to stay away. In my experience, they cheat customers into buying policies and then look for any excuse to reject claims — even when you have followed all the rules. My claim was refused based on “pre-existing condition” even though there was no evidence of this before the policy started. After appealing, a so-called “review panel” confirmed the refusal with the same excuse. Many of my colleagues had the exact same experience — claims always rejected for one reason or another. After this, our company decided not to renew our policy with Regency. If you search online, you’ll find many other people reporting the same problem and warning that Regency will not support you when you really need help. Insurance should give peace of mind. Regency only gives you frustration, wasted money, and a fight when you are already unwell. If you are looking for real protection and honest service, avoid Regency at all costs.

I took out a policy with Regency expecting security and peace of mind. Instead, I’ve been met with nothing but frustration, contradictions, and evasions. My recent claim — a cardiology consultation for suspected hypertension — was denied as a so-called “chronic condition.” This is outrageous. The very same issue had already been reimbursed before, including ER treatment and lab tests from the exact same episode. First it was called “pre-existing,” now it’s magically reclassified as “chronic.” The shifting excuses are not only inconsistent — they look like a calculated tactic to avoid paying legitimate claims. The handling process is just as bad. Each claim drags on for weeks while I’m bounced from one assessor to another. Every escalation is a dead end. Responses are nothing but copy-and-paste policy blurbs, ignoring both medical facts and the contradictions in Regency’s own decisions. Even after dragging in senior management, my case sits unresolved in bureaucratic limbo. At sign-up, no one told me that a basic diagnostic consultation after an emergency could be excluded. My doctors never classified my hypertension as chronic — it was under investigation. Regency’s attempt to redefine it after the fact is dishonest and indefensible. This is not an insurer you can rely on when it matters most. Endless delays. Shifting definitions. Contradictory excuses. A refusal to take accountability at every step. I am now actively cancelling my contract because it is crystal clear that Regency cannot be trusted with either my health or my money. If you value fairness, consistency, and timely support, avoid Regency at all costs.

In US or Europe it is unlawful to exclude pre existing conditions of which you had no knowledge and that is why this insurance is based in St Kitts and Nevis. To avoid reasonable legal oversight. Think about that. Do you really want insurance from a company with ethics like this? I feel very sorry for anyone who thinks they have the protection of insurance when in fact when the time of need comes, when they are least able to argue their case, we are told we are not covered, absolutely disgusting.

I am trying to help my close friend who has been left high and dry by this cynical company. The policy excludes any pre existing conditions regardless of whether you knew about them or not or whether there were any symptoms. Think about that. My friend is a healthy clean living guy who woke up one day with a pain in his stomach which turned out to be a tumour. He had no inkling previously. Regency refused to pay a penny or even refund his premium. Now he has to sell his house to pay for a life time of treatment. In US or Europe it is unlawful to exclude pre existing conditions of which you had no knowledge and that is why this insurance is based in St Kitts and Nevis. To avoid reasonable legal oversight. Think about that. Do you really want insurance from a company with ethics like this? I feel very sorry for my friend and others like him who think they have the protection of insurance when in fact when the time of need comes, when they are least able to argue their case, thief willl be terribly let down by this company.
