started off well, average price for my car to be scrapped
I was at work the day of collection and sorted someone else waiting for collection, no issues now....
After waiting for payment for 24 hours I had a call from there office saying they're knocking £60 off the original price for "after market fittings" or come and collect the motor ( it had no MOT, tax or insurance... ) fair play, it's the perfect scam. What really can you do? Hassle collecting the motor to take home/elsewhere or accept the scam and swallow your pride
You can't swap and price AFTER taking the motor away, by all means haggle on-site but not with a ransom...
Imagine this 10x a day - 600
Imagine this every week - 3000
Imagine this year in year out - 156000
Don't look at trust pilot, it will be full of their own "perfect reviews" look on here I'm not the only one. It's the perfect scam, fair play remove my car.

“I booked in collection for Friday 24th May. I was told I would hear from the collection company on the day when they were about half an hour away. Great, I thought. This is all going smoothly. I'll clear my plans on Friday, hopefully they'll contact me earlier in the day but no problem if not, I just wanted the car removed. I heard nothing all day. It got to 5pm and not even a message or an email to apologise. So I took my business elsewhere. Today, Tuesday 28th, I receive a text from the collection company confirming my collection for tomorrow. That's not the date I agreed with Remove My Car. There was a serious lack of communication between the companies here and someone as to take responsibility. I can probably guarantee I'm not the first person this has happened to. Sort it out, RMC.”

The worst experience I ever had with this company.
The recovery guy came and met me to pick up my car and he left without taking my car. I thought he is leaving to turn around to tow my car but he left, i called him 3 times and he wasn’t picking up. I called their company and were rude to me and without even listening to my side of the story, they accepted the recovery guy notes on their system. As if I was ripping them off. The operator didn’t even give me a chance to say anything telling me with a Polish accent “ don’t tell me any story, u want arrange another date but we will charge u £30 or not sell ur car. Our driver is right he couldn’t pick up ur car because there weren’t any space” i knew he lied to their base but nobody listened to me. And they hang up on me.
That made my day from good to worst.”
“Quoted price £312 picked car up on 7 December still not been paid.They have now called me and offered me £250 because the 21 year old car has an aftermarket part fitted and if I dont accept this price they refuse to bring it back, I will have to pay a recovery vehicle to return it myself”

Arranged collection of my car a week ago, filled in my bank details online as my preferred payment method! They are claiming this didn't happen, so when my car was collected I was given a cheque, this was given along with a receipt and part of the v5 document so I did not see it and scrap collector did not tell me it was there. Once realising I had a cheque I got in touch with remove my car who said it would cost me £10 to change it to a bank transfer, I reluctantly agreed. I then received a WhatsApp message regarding my query so I asked them to check that the transfer was happening. They said no, they would have to ask the bank to cancel the cheque first but this would be done that day and the transfer would happen either today or next day (within 24 hours) and guess what no money!!!!
I have just contacted removemycar via WhatsApp, talk about useless and rude!!! They are now trying to say that I need a letter from my bank confirming the cheque is cancelled (this is a complete lie, i have spoken to my bank and they would not send me a letter for this) and they won't transfer the money until then and can't tell me when this is because that depends on the bank!!!! LIES, LIES, LIES!!!
I have also requested a phone call from them to discuss the matter and they have ignored my request, I am very frustrated and disappointed!!!! In this current climate I really need this money!!! I highly recommend that you use a different company! They have taken (stolen) my car and I not paying me for it!!!! I will be taking this further, I will be leaving this review on other sites!!! I want my money!!!!!”
“Chose this company to scrap my car. They said they would collect my car between 16:00 and 18:00 the coming Friday. I had a missed call at 14:00 which I assumed might be the driver to confirm collection. I called the number and the person was really rude to me because I did not answer my phone (I was in a meeting) as he wanted to collect my car. He said he would talk to his colleague and they would call me to arrange collection. Nobody ever called me back or turned up to collect car. I called him again and no answer. I called the main phone number and also no answer. The following day I received an email saying they were sorry I had decided to cancel my vehicle disposal through them. I have not been able to speak to them to cancel the disposal! Shocking service and incredibly rude driver.”
“If only I had read the reviews prior to contacting Remove my car, I would not have touched them with a barge pole. Same problem with person who came to collect the car trying to push the price down. The Catalytic converter tactic used. DONT BELIEVE A WORD THIS COMPANY SAY.”
“Great service from first call to completion. I received a message giving price they would pay and when they could collect it. Matt called en route to give the time he would arrive, and loaded the car onto his truck. He checked the paperwork and advised what I needed to do to complete the legal requirements for its disposal.
He was very professional & friendly. Highly recommend 5*”
“Described condition of car and sent photo so that everyone was clear on what was being sold (kept copy of transcript as evidence). Accepted offer but when dealer telephoned (Fenland Car Breakers) wanted to offer me nearly 28% less than agreed. Advised Remove My Car but they were not interested! Very disappointing - wasted my time”
“Car that is awaiting collection and 3 times I’ve made arrangements to be there when vehicle was to be collected. 3 times they never showed up !!!
I called the main place and was told to phone the collection guy myself but pointed out I had and each time wasted my time waiting.
Doesn’t seem like they are capable of organising something that should, in theory, be very easy. Save yourself the aggravation - contact a local company directly !!”
“This company has no control over their collection teams who make up their own rules. I have been waiting four months for payment. My advice, if you value your sanity is to avoid using this frustrating bunch.”
