i have had a problem with the rental company regarding your policy. It was just for a week hire but I think there may be something wrong my end. How do I contact you, i have no address, no phone number, no e mail and your chat programme isnt available any more .

I purchased coverage with RentalCover via Booking.com well over a year ago. Since then my rental has changed four times, in each case because Alitalia cancelled my flights. The last time I wanted to add one day to a 23-day rental. The new cost was $100 more. I sent an e-mail asking why one extra day would cost so much. They responded with a link to a case number. The link required my password which I didn't know. There was no 'I forgot my password option'. I wrote back several times and did not get a response. Now on the RentalCover website my account shows that my former policy is cancelled, and that the status of my account is 'Quote'. I want to completely cancel the policy and get a refund. How can I do that?

Dear Mark, Thank you for contacting us. We've located your Full Protection policy that was booked via our partner Booking.com but as per your request, Booking.com cancelled your policy. The other policy (the one you said with one day longer) is our direct policy and it's a different type of policy, it's our CDW policy, hence the premium is calculated differently. From our system record, we can see you signed in to your RentalCover.com account successfully. So, we're not sure which link you're referring to that you couldn't access. For customers RentalCover.com accounts, the customer just needs to sign in with both their email address and any previous policies reference number including quotations with the format XXXX-XXXX-INS. I rented a car via booking and they proposed rentalcover insurance, I accepted the cover and expected to pay for it when I pay for the car when I take delivery in Helsinki. However immediately my credit card was charged by Rentalcover, but I got no confirmation for the insurance not can booking find anything on their system, I spent hours trying contact anyone for help or to get an answer. I am disappointed, and just saw the reviews of the last few customer was not great, so I am considering to cancel and call my bank to dispute the credit payment which I did not authorise for rentalcover. Unless I get this clarified immediately. Kindly note again, Booking told me that they do not have any trace of the insurance since it was charged directly by rentalcover. Please guide me urgently.

I took insurance with Rentalcover.com for my rental car in the UDA and I hit the wall while parking the car. The rental company (National) is asking for a claim # from Rentalcover but I am unable to find the claim number. There is no easy way to contact customer care and I am not sure what should I do here. Can anyone help, please?

Hi Tina, If you purchased our policy together with your car booking, the policy should have been cancelled at the same time you cancelled the car booking. It this wasn't the case, please contact the online website you made the car booking with and they will be able to help you. Unfortunately, policies purchased via our partner's website cannot be cancelled by us directly. I am planning rent a car in Vancouver for 42 day and considering using your company, Having read all reveiws I am unsure about uses Rentalcover.com I have had many retells US, CANADA, GREECE, SPAIN & UK away got cover the the rental company, never had to claim. What assurances can you offer me? I am renting via Enterprise, will they be accepting of your policy, do I get a certificate from you if i purchase your policy? I take it I need NO other cover CWD etc.?

We aim to cover the full body of the vehicle that you rent in case of accidents, theft, vandalism or other damage. Once you complete the purchase of our insurance, we will email you the certificate of insurance. For rentals in Canada, we have different types of policies, depending on the country of residence of our customers. So I have a car reservation in Christchurch for March 8-12. Does your Insurance cover the rental car and cost of repairs to any damages to others? I have a clean driving record and want to make sure your insurance is as good as Thrifty counter.

Hi there - thanks for the question. We would happily insure you! Our policies cover any rental vehicle around the world, including NZ, for about half the price of the rental companies, and with many extras that arent covered by the rental companies such as the administration, towing and loss of use fees that rental companies apply. Oh one other thing. In NZ there is a government program that covers third party liability, however rental companies sometimes add “third party” charges to your bill if there’s an accident involving another vehicle. Its a highly questionable tactic, but we cover it for renters regardless. Our policies are “full lrotection” with no excess so you won’t be out of pocket.
