I booked to have my oven repaired (it wasn't getting up to heat/ staying hot) in November 2016. The first visit was a diagnosis visit and the engineer said there was a faulty heating element. During the second visit the engineer noted that the door wasn't closing properly which would contribute to the problem. A new seal and hinges were ordered, but this didn't fix the problem in the third visit in January where it was discovered that the oven door was warped. And this is when the problems really started. I never heard back about an appointment to fix the door, and when I chased it up ended up in a very frustrating series of calls between the engineer company that repaircare contract the work out to and repaircare. Apparently when I contacted them initially I was meant to diagnose the problem myself and tell them about the door - I hadn't because I mistakenly believed that this was for the engineer to do - silly me! I thought that by telling them that the oven not getting up to heat/ staying hot that was enough! Also, as the repair of the element was at the end of November, when I called to sort out the door (not having heard back from anyone as I had been told I would be) in March - I was told that the job had been closed (they count 90 days from when the job is fixed - which they took to be November, even though the final visit I received wasn't until the end of January!). Every call I've made has included long periods of being put on hold, I've complained on their website online form - which they apparently respond to in 48 hours – so not the case. A week using their online form and having heard nothing I called them up again – and was told someone would call me back that afternoon – amazingly that didn’t happen either! Another week passed and yet again long hold time, being told the same thing, that the job was out of warranty, and I should have diagnosed the problem myself! So if you want frustrating long wait times, appalling customer services, rude staff and no resolution, use repaircare.

Avoid this company. If I could give no stars I would. They string you along. Awful customer service. They took three weeks to decide they couldn't repair my gas oven even although the engineers they sent out said it could be fixed. Obviously the price they quoted me was too low so they cut their losses. They informed me by text that the job had been cancelled. When I tried to insist on the repair being carried out and wanted to talk to someone I was told to email their escalations team who (replying after 4 days) insist that it is unrepairable although both engineers said it was and just needed to order other parts! Although a national company their customer service is awful and it seems to take them ages to order parts. Also, the first engineer seemed to focus on things other than the repair he was called for and insisted on ordering new hinges when I didn't see the need for them. The first engineer was carrying no parts although I'd given the model details and a detailed description of the problem so don't expect the repair to be carried out in the first visit. It seemed that there was no intention of this happening. I don't even recall if he brought his tools in with him.

I booked my bosch washing machine in for repair only to be told by the engineer when he turned up that he couldn't repair Bosch machines due to to the fact that only Bosch engneers could fix them. He informed me that the circuit board needed to be replaced and he couldn't do it. If an engineer is not able to replace a circuit board on a machine then you have no right to claim you can repair Bosch machines. I actually believe that this was an excuse used because the cost of the job would have been too expensive!!

Booked for a repair to our Neff oven. Arrived on the appointed day and stated that the part required for the repair would have to be ordered and would take a few days. Told engineer that we were going away for a few days and he said that he would contact us on our return. Received a telephoned call the day before going away and appointment made for day after we returned. Attended on the appointed and repair carried. Brilliant service and would definitely use again.

CONMEN - BEWARE - CAREFULLY READ THE TERMS & CONDITIONS Booked a repair online, for a 'no fix no fee' cost of £179. I declaired that my appliance was more than 8 years old and consulted the FAQ which clearly states that if the engineer cannot repair the appliance a full refund would be given. It seems that because my appliance is more than 8 years old and the parts are no longer available I will not receive a full refund of £179 - instead they will deduct a £45 call out fee ! Not impressed in the slightest - I do feel that this point should be a part of the FAQ and not hidden in the small print of the T & C - but then if it was made clear they wouldn't be able to get away with ripping people off quite so easily !

Replaced broken part in oven at cost of £175 which failed after 3 months. Company refused to replace hiding behind small print that repair and part only warranted for 90 days - unacceptable customer service. I am taking them to small claims court!!

Waited in with toddler all day for a booked appointment. By 4pm no one had arrived so I chased it. Apparently the engineer didn't have the parts and was never going to come. No one had the courtesy to let me know. Complete waste of a day. Would not use again.

Shocking Service. Avoid this company at all costs. If they can do a quick fix they will. Anything more complicated they keep you waiting with no Appliance for over 3 weeks and then say they cannot fix it.Still waiting for refund from dishwasher fault. Call logged on 5 Dec,Engineer visited 12 dec and then back on 16 Dec with new part.Engineer left without testing and said problem was fixed....but it wasn't. I called back on 19 dec and said problem still not fixed and they then text back on 28 dec saying they cant fix the problem. Total Cowboys and all they can do is simple jobs.

Washing machine is still not fixed after a month and a half and despite many many complaints they are still useless and very unprofessional. Their replies are very slow and when they do reply it is the most unhelpful e mail ever. I have dealt with many companies and this is the worst one i have ever dealt with. My issue is still not resolved and they do not seem to care that i have been without a working washing machine for over a month. Stay away from this cowboy company.

Horrendous experience! Just bought and moved into our first home, oven was broke! Booked online with repair care for the next Thursday, they rung the day before to cancel as thy were fully booked?? Even though we'd taken the day off work to wait for them! When they did turn up the guy said it was going to cost a fortune to fix more than the 119£ I'd paid to have it fixed (which they had already taken money) and he said that repaircare wouldn't cover the cost and it would probably cost about 300£ to fix. The engineer also said that it might even cost more To fix if there's other things wrong with it so he suggested buy a new one, have emailed repaircare for them to say that the engineer is waiting on parts and that if we cancel now (because we've ordered a new oven) we have to pay 45£ to cancel! Disgusted in them!!!! Refusing to give us a refund!!!!

No parts on van. took three days to arrive. No repairers in Surrey/SouthWest London. Our man came 80 miles from Rayleigh Essex. Parts (oven thermostat and door seals have to be sent from Birmingham to Rayleigh and then brought 80 miles to Leatherhead ! ) No estimate of completion date. They were told last week the oven needed to be ready for Thanksgiving day which was clearly impossible if the service engineers are so busy and do not hold parts. They take the money, take 10 minutes to answer the complaints phone line (that says it all) . This firm is a joke and reminds me of the chaotic British Leyland car company. To cap it all they sent two engineers on separate occasions on the same day to view the job !

I requested a repair on my Dishwasher. The engineer came out, striped it all back and told me I would need a part. He want away and three weeks later the only contact I have had is a text saying that the ETA for the part is 4th November.Today I went online to check the status of my repair, the content reads " the engineer visited your property on 20th October but unfortunatley was unable to repair your appliance" This isnt true, so I have written to the Company asking for an explanation as to why such inaccuracies are being written and I have requested a full and comprehensive understanding of my repair status. Like many others on here,I wished I had read the reviews before paying out money........

Our Panasonic American fridge had issues with temperature, was not cold enough. Panasonic recommended this company to us..We paid £215 for labour and parts . Engineer came the first time said the problem is the diverter valve...it took over a week to order the part (given that this company specialize in this field I would have expected to have these parts in stock). He said there's a 10% chance the valve may not work- well I find it this really strange that you can fit a new part and not work. Sure enough didn't work. In fact parts of the fridge became frozen?! We called them back and left several vm's and emails and they never got in touch with us. Their C/S's are really poor and I would not recommend this company to anyone because they take the money upfront. Its a con!

I wish I had read the reviews on this site before calling repaircare. The engineer came out promptly and quickly diagnosed the problem. The dishwasher needed a circulation pump which he said would have to be ordered and should take 5-7 days. it is four weeks since I started the process. The part is 'out of stock' with no eta and their purchasing dept is 'chasing' the part on a daily basis!! ( I have told them that AEG are selling the part online and can deliver within 24 hours). I have asked for a refund but am not hopeful. This company takes your money up front and it seems like a good deal. If your appliance requires an expensive part ( in this case £100 approx), then they will fob you off until you become weary and give up. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY!
