“Just want to write a huge recommendation to two companies Revive Financial and Pepper Money, which have helped us survive a very difficult time. My name is Tracey and my husband is Rick to give a little perspective I will give you a brief background on our story. June 2019, we decided to close our small business after five years of trade and 12 months of trying to sell the business. We had struggled for the last two years to meet repayments so when we closed the business we had a debt of $150 000. June to November of that year I tried to pay a total of 13 creditors a little bit each week out of the wage both my husband and I were receiving from fulltime employment as well as support at the time three children still living at home. As you could imagine this didn’t work I was constantly receiving phone call, letters of demands to pay, the last thing we wanted to do was to declare bankruptcy and loose everything we had worked so hard for but it was looking like this was imminent. Our marriage was under stress and our mental health went to some very dark places. I was desperately searching for help when a friend who had customers that had had experience with a company called Layanna (now known as Revive) so I gave them a call. Finally someone was willing to listen to our plight and look at us as people not just an amount of money that needed to lend. Within a few short weeks the 13 creditors had been called and a repayment agreement negotiated to meet our obligations. The biggest relief for me was that I received no more demanding phone calls and each repayment was a step towards paying off the debt. March 2022 I decided that maybe I would take another look at refinancing our home loan with the price of housing in our area skyrocketing we may have a chance. Again all the big 4 banks weren’t interested as we had a poor credit rating, then we were encouraged to apply to Pepper money by my Brother and sister in law. This was the beginning of our financial freedom initially we spoke with Cameron who documented all our particulars, Cameron was very supportive but reminded us this could be a long process considering the number of creditors we had. We weren’t getting our hopes up as we had been rejected so many times before. Pepper required a lot of documentation from us so there was a lot of assistance needed for me to get this information from Revive, Divya and Aimee where doing everything they could to assist me with providing this information, calling or emailing me regularly to enquire of the status of our application with Pepper. Things came to a holt and Steve Schaeche Head of Negotiations at Revive called me one morning this man had the knowledge, authority but most importantly to me the compassion and empathy to listen to our story and actually heard our desperation to become debt free and be able to feel like we had a future and not just a life of paying this debt off. Being in debt to these creditors who most of them where people that I would see in our small town and feel absolute shame that I couldn’t repay them. Our application was at a standstill so Steve went above and beyond to collaborate with Rosi DeBartolo Senior Lending Specialist from pepper Money to get our application approved. I felt both Rosi and Steve had my back they would call or email me several times a week to keep me posted on the progress. Rosi would email sometimes just a few words like “everything is going to plan, talk next week have a great weekend “This gave me reassurance that we hadn’t been forgotten and we were important to them. Steve told me in our first conversation he would do everything he could to help me and I believe he and Rosi definitely did that. These people have been outstanding and I am sure there are people that I never got to talk to that were also instrumental in getting our application across the line. This has been a life changing process the stress that we were under cannot be explained, but thank you all for looking past the facts and figures and seeing people ,good people that have hope dreams and just needed help to get there life back on track. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for changing our lives and giving us a future again to make our dreams come true.”

They allowed me to decrease if necessary but increase payments when I could. My agent officer was extremely helpful and professional at her role.
