“Terrible experience with EMaC and Revive:
When I bought my car, I decided to get the EMaC extra alloy and cosmetic car repair plan. It sounded great when it was described to me, they'll come out and fix any scratches or alloys on your car. Sounded great and hassle free.
So after six months and it built up a few minor scratches on several areas of the car, I decided to use the cosmetic repair I'd paid £499 for. I filled out the form and they sent it to their cosmetic repairer called Revive. I sent pictures of all areas, all of which were very minor and the largest scratch was 5cm and the most scratches on one panel totalled 8cm. Revive then told EMaC that an area was excluded as over 20cm and offered to have one of the sections done privately by them instead! They decided this based on some initial photos. Therefore I challenged this and sent in some more photos literally with me holding a measuring tape next to the largest scratches clearly showing 5cm and 3cm. I had sent concrete proof that the area should not be excluded to both EMaC and Revive. I also suggested someone is sent out to inspect the areas if they are still disputing it. However Revive just said it was now up to EMaC even though they had made the call to have it excluded and also cheekily asked to get it done privately even though it should have been included in the original plan. Once that decision was made by revive, they just washed their hands of their decision and EMaC just supported their decision. These big companies just blamed each other and weren't listening.
In the end I cancelled the plan and lost over a hundred pounds.
Do not work with any of these companies.”
“Booked in Revive to repair small scuff to face of wheel. Not only have they done a terrible job of spraying the face of the wheel with a run in it, they have also now damaged the inside of the wheel that was painted in high gloss black , now it’s Icovered in dull overspray . I now have to have the wheel powder coated at extra expense and the car will be off the road for at least 5 days . Got a refund but know the wheel is in worse condition than before . Not impressed on brand new luxury sports car . DO NOT USE , POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR QUALITY REPAIRS.”
“Quote number REV-550709-H7F5R2
Booked an appointment for Thursday 18 July. Received a message a day earlier confirming the appointment at the expected time at around 2pm. Noboby came. I messaged at around 2:30pm without receiving a reply.
Received a message at around 3:07pm saying that the appointment was cancelled as the person was 'too busy' doing something else.
Called back and they promised to sort it out for the next day. Nobody called me. Still waiting for this to happen. Don't know what king of people work for this company and how they have so many good reviews. Most of them must be fake, I assume.”
“Stay away from this company. Their technician damaged both doors of my car. The damage they did was ascertained by an independent expert witness and the estimate for repair works was issued to me by the repair company so it is not my personal opinion. At first this company accepted their liability but changed their opinion over the weekend and sent to me a threatening email putting me under duress to remove my public feedback on the poor quality of their work and client care.”
“An absolute joke of a company. Damaged both doors on my car and refused to pay for it!!! So I have took them to court. They are unqualified for the job and the technicians are awful and rude.”
