“To sum up: Rock Auto is only good if there is no problems. If anything is wrong (part fails, you don’t get your order, your order arrives damaged ) - you are screwed.
Rock Auto can be ok. A lot of times lower prices than part stores.
Their shipping fees and warranted warranty (usually 30 days) as well as their complete refusal to take ANY responsibility if there is anything wrong with delivery or product is damaged makes them a horrible company to deal with if anything goes wrong.
Over 20 years of being their customer, we had to issues. 1: product came in damaged-Rock Auto refused to take responsibility. 2. Their system screwed up street address-they shipped orders with no street address, so UPS returned to them. They refused to take responsibility and reduced refund by shipping and taxes.
Rock Auto also does not support warranty even if part manufacturer provides it which is required to file the warranty with manufacturer.”

“My name is Ricky Knotts and I ordered parts for my wife vehicle. I dealt with Andrew on the call. I called on a Sunday that Monday. My parts were here. Unfortunately the bearings were missing called back and spoke to Andrew. They sent the bearings out at no extra costs and on top of it ain’t sent me an oxygen sensor for my wife’s car as well. I highly recommend Rock Auto. I will be using them in the future and shout out to Andrew.”
“Do not buy Autobest fuel pumps they are garbage. Also do not but GMB fuel pumps as they are NOT marked on the pump body as GMB so you don't know what brand it is. Delphi is made in China so it's a POS part do not buy. Lessons learned by losing money sending back defective parts FYI!!”
“I called just wanted to know the price of some brake shoes. Told them I would let them know later if I wanted them .They called me twice trying to get me to buy them. Told them I was taking it to a mechanic to get it fixed. Called me the next day saying they were shipping them to me. I again told them no and they said they had already billed my account. “I just left a prior review concerning the fact that the Master Cylinder I ordered will not fit my OEM 1972 Ford Econoline E200. I have just discovered that the adaptors supplied with the Master Cylinder are supposed to rectify the issue I originally complained about. Now these are fitted I have discovered two new issues:
1. The adaptors, when tightened up, crush the outlet bores in the Master Cylinder, not to the point where they're useless, but creating lots of metal shavings in the process.
2. Now the adaptors are fitted, the hood on my vehicle can no longer close, it is fouling on the brake lines, as a result of utilizing the adaptors!
RockAuto, with NON-EXISTENT Customer Service, leave me only this avenue to raise the matter. I am now out of pocket to the tune of $56.00. I have a useless part, and RockAuto could not be less interested. These guys are not worth trying to save a buck or two. I will take my original Master Cylinder and have it rebuilt locally, at additional cost.”
“I paid a core fee on my brake calipers, I sent them back UPS $33 dollars they received them on the 2nd of September an I never got my core back. So not only did they keep my $90 core fee but they got the old ones also. I’ll never order here again they rip u off!”
“I ordered clutch kit for my 2008 Ford Ranger 4.0 L when I ordered it i read to make sure that its self adjusting and they sent the non self adjusting . And they sent to separate orders and i was charged twice .Now I have a hard time returning the parts back I paid for the shipping to get parts now they want to charge me twice the shipping to send the part back to them

They put the wrong remanufactured 4 seasons compressor in an ac delco box, more than doubled the price, and then put some little punk in "customer serice" on it. All he did was argue and b.s. me, just to get out of paying the return shipping. They are thieving crooks!”

They sent me the WRONG part twice and will only give me store credit for their mess up. Ashley the woman who responded to my emails was not helpful at all.
