“Gemma came to brief us and give an estimate. She answered all our questions and explained everything. On the arranged morning Cleaning Technician Graham arrived and after moving the heavy furniture proceeded to thoroughly clean our Axminster. Having originally had it protected by Scotchgard™ we asked for it to be protected again. Graham did a fine job, our only comment on the process is that the carpet, when dry, appeared to be quite sticky/tacky with furniture and footfall not moving easily. This slight problem has now mainly worn off. Overall we are pleased to have clean bright carpets once more. Thank you.”

“We purchased a second hand 4m *3m hand woven wool rug, it needed a thorough clean, we researched carpet cleaning companies in our area, we choose Rothwells and have not been disappointed. They collected the rug from the antique shop and delivered back to us within agreed timescales and we were kept advised of any concerns they had as the cleaning process progressed, it had one or two damaged areas that they took extra care with. The rug now looks fabulous , they did a great job and customer service was very good, responsive and helpful. I would recommend and will use again if we need such services in the future.”

“Made a very good job of cleaning our sofa and chairs. Arrived promptly on schedule and ensured that everything was tidy before leaving. Four stars rather than five only because the unpleasant cleaning smell remained for much longer than we had been led to expect.”

Hi Peter, I am glad the end result was good and you now have clean chairs and sofa. But sorry to hear there was a cleaning smell. There isn't normally when cleaning upholstery unless we have been using particular products to remove particular odour issues,some of those products can themselves have a slight smell that can stay for up to a day. Or sometimes stains but that should stay no more than an hour or two at most. Wool Carpets when wet do have a smell as wool does, just the same as if you wash a wool jumper at home, we can use air fresheners for this but it depends if you like the smell of the air freshener or not. It doesn't sound like this is still an issue but if it is please do call me so we can find a solution and see what is happening.

“Very pleased - Andrew very efficient and worked round a lot of the furniture. Good result - there may be one or two .stains left from my accident whilst carrying a scone and strawberry jam - this could easily be rectified when he returns as it is my intention to have the bedroom end carpets cleaned at some time in August.. you must issue your workforce with very good efficient equipment. Mrs. S. Batt.”

Mrs. Batt, thank you for the review. And yes if you have dropped something on the cleaned carpet we are happy to clean that out next time and obviously there will be no charge for that. A bit of jam and cream should cause us too many problems. I hope it was a nice scone.

“On a steaming hot day Graham, from Rothsell’s, cleaned our carpets and leather sofas. One carpet when cleaned looked totally different, it must have been filthy, but they all came out so beautifully. And the sofas looked like new. Can’t recommend them highly enough.”
