I accepted this and went ahead with the posting however the tracking information it's very poor and insufficient

“I posted a parcel from Newton Mearns, Glasgow, to Colindale in London yesterday. I paid for recorded delivery, and although the parcel did arrive today, it was simply left on the doorstep of the recipient, and NOT SIGNED FOR. What’s the point of paying extra for secure posting when this happens. The Reference Number on my Certificate of Posting is KL007559633GB. Hopeless!”
