“A BIG thank you to Jo, Jason and Ellis for a job very well done at my aunt and uncle's house – from the office workings, through to the completion of new boiler in December 2015 and then upstairs radiators in January 2016. They all worked so hard in their own way, and sometimes under difficulty - but I commend not only their professionalism, but their kindness and patience towards my aunt and uncle. Their work was excellently done. I would highly recommend Rudkin & Herbert - what an excellent team!”

“I am amazed at the service R&H provide. From beginning to end the way the company treated us was beyond 'good'. From getting the quote, which was very comprehensive, to the actual job it was just wonderful. Sadly in this day and age its seldom I come across a group of people so obliging and helpful. I won't go anywhere else, for my next job that needs doing.”

“We had a new boiler fitted on the 7.12 .15, the 2 workmen who came to do the job were jack and ellis and they were fantastic. They were polite and very hard working and any mess they made was cleaned up like they had never been there! id just had new carpets fitted aswell and they put carpet protectors down and made sure they took great care. I could'nt believe how fast they were but also very thorough. When it came to explaining my new system they were great and very clear, i would recommend this company to anyone who need this sort of work and would certainly use them again .”

“Initially we were looking for a bathroom fitter as we had already had an idea of what sanitary ware we wanted in our bathroom/Shower room. Getting installers to come around and quote for the job was a mission as some never turned up, those that turned up wanted to take on the job but cut corners and make it easy for themselves let alone charge a silly price. We came across H&R by speaking to someone that had their bathroom done by them whilst we were browsing around for our fixtures at a leading bathroom outlet in Leicester. They recommended them with praise and that led us to visit their website and arrange for an appointment. Ian Herbert came around as arranged and we went through with him our exact requirements of our proposed project. He listened and took on board our planned requirements and advised us accordingly without drifting away from our end goal. His advice was clear, precise and honest to the extent we came to the conclusion of letting H&R order all our sanitary ware as we were offered preferential discounts due to their industry contacts. We agreed on an install date and H&R ensured that they had all the bits ordered in time. The install went extremely smoothly and the workers were polite and took great care and pride in carrying out their tasks, let alone keeping us informed as what tasks were happening each day. At the other end, the backroom office staff were always at hand to speak to should we needed anything further ordering or changing. Ian Herbert also ensured that all was going to plan by visiting us during the install. The finished completed shower room was as we had imagined and the quality of workmanship was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend H&R to family and friends as a professional outfit that delivers to the customer’s expectations without any hesitation. Well done & thank you to all at H&R. “Rudkin and Herbert were one of several companies recommended to us and the first one we asked to visit us and give us advice. The visit was so helpful that R and H were not only the first company but the only company we dealt with. We had an ancient bathroom converted into a wet room with an easy access power shower designed for me, who has some disability. The old toilet room was also transformed to a modern and easy access toilet. The workmen were friendly, efficient and easy to relate too. The office staff were always easy to contact and helpful. The work was done efficiently and our family and friends who have seen the old and new rooms are very impressed. If we ever had any new work done with boilers or downstairs toilet we will not be looking beyond R and H. Thank you!”

“Rudkin & Herbert have just finished a complete refurbishment of my bathroom and I'm really pleased with the result. Right from the start I was impressed. Ian Herbert spent time in making an unhurried and detailed assessment bringing with him a big range of catalogues. He then provided a very detailed report. His workers were great-unfailingly polite ,friendly , professional and always on time. They cleaned up every day before leaving as Ian had promised. The women in the office need a special mention for keeping me informed about each stage of the work. I have no hesitation in recommending Rudkin & Herbert. B Hawkes”

“R&H just finished installing an external Worcester oil fuelled boiler and eleven new radiators. .....ah, warmth at last. Thanks to, Jason, Ellis and Glen, the A Team! So why did we choose R&H? Clearly costings were important but not the main driver we had had a couple of cheaper quotes. Ian Herbert, (the main man!), apart from having a very approachable style, is a real pro...in our opinion. He fully assessed our needs and came well prepared with a variety of brochures, he explained the main features and benefits of various products and gave a robust proposal of his own recommendation without trying to unnecessarily upgrade us. Unlike some of his competitors, who breezed in and out in a few minutes, Ian spent quality time with us appreciating that as a consumer, this was going to be a "big spend" for us...thankyou for your patience. Once we had decided to appoint R&H, his girls at the office (I suspect the real bosses) kept in touch regularly, arranging job dates double checking our order and making us feel like valued clients. Then the "A Team" turned up to do the job! Brilliant...polite, tidy and just, got on with things...thanks guys, you are all credit to your profession. “We recently upgraded our boiler and had a new Worcester system put in. From start to finish, the work completed was very professional and the engineer who attend was extremely attentive to the work carried out and instructions given on the system once installed. “After the hot water failed in our old house, we got six different quotes to replace our ancient boiler: BG and others. One further plumber said the job was too big for him; another quoted but did not look confident. Ian Herbert discussed the system with us, estimated the boiler size and recommended pressurising. We went with R&H because of theexplanations Ian gave us; the quote was very reasonable and we were able to talk to others who had work done by R&H. Jason did the work very efficiently but on the last day the hot water just wouldn't work. Richard came and diagnosed a blockage in the pipework. The exact location would be determined by cutting the pipes. We have probably miles of pipework. However, when Jason came back he identified the exact location of the blockage much faster than we feared, and with little disruption; he just replaced a small section of pipe. The system is now working brilliantly. Very happy customers!”

“Your staff worked very efficiently to remove an old boiler and install a new one. They were courteous and polite and kept me informed of what was happening at each stage. They completed the work on schedule and explained everything I needed to know about the new appliance. They tidied up after themselves and I would not hesitate in recommending the company to friends and family since I was very happy with the work they did.”

“Really pleased with the performance of Rudkin & Herbert! We have had a new bathroom, from scratch, and the excellent service started with the initial phone call. I approached 5 companies and only 2 responded, R&H were the first. Ian came to see us to talk through our requirements and was very good. He listened (yes, listened) to us and made relevant sensible suggestions as to what might be good for us. He came up with several ideas that we hadn't thought of, or didn't know even existed. The quote arrived quickly and was very competitive. We asked for a reasonably high quality specification and that is what he quoted for. We visited the showroom and were shown a number of the things we were considering and were able to make more decisions there to firm up the quotation. A date was given for starting in just a few weeks time, and the guys turned up as promised. On site the craftsmen were excellent. All polite, hard working and conscientious. They met with various problems along the way, including personal injury, enforced redesign, return visits to correct minor errors and odd pipework! Throughout, they kept us informed and offered us the relevant decisions when needed. We never felt pressured but always in control. The job was completed on time and returned to site to complete the minor, niggling, snagging promptly. We have received credits off the final invoice for returned tiles and suchlike. Overall: * High quality service from the office and the craftsmen * Superb craftsmen on site * Superb quality installation * Good price We are very pleased with the outcome - heartily recommended!”

“We were very pleased with the service we received from the start (quote stage) to the end (installation stage) and the staff members involved at separate stages were very polite and professional. Ian listened to our needs, talked us through the options of different boilers (their advantages & disadvantages, costs etc). In the quote the work was clearly broken down and presented well. As soon as I heard the positive comments from two local people who had used Rudkin & Herbert (R & H) I was left in no doubt as to who I would choose for my boiler installation. I was really impressed with the way the Engineer (Glenn) who came to do the installation worked. He was very methodical in the way he planned and approached the task, working in a tidy and efficient manner respecting the customers house and working with us and our needs. He would patiently explain in simple terms whatever query we had and what he would be doing. His attention to detail and the way the pipework has been laid out speaks for itself. His work rate was good even updating me when he was for example going for lunch breaks - that shows respect for the customer as he didn't need my permission. It also reflects on how R & H value their customers and the training they provide their staff. Even though Glenn was presented with challenges during the install, he didn't moan but found solutions and continued working efficiently. I personally couldn't thank him enough for making the installation as hassle free a process as possible. Time will be the judge but I hope by choosing R & H and having a good installer (Glenn), my Worcester Bosch boiler will give me a better return and less hassle for the next 10 to 15 years (or more!) compared to my previous boiler and installation which lasted me a disappointing 5 years and gave no end of problems. I would highly recommend R & H to friends and family and thank them all for a top class service.”
