“Bought a frying pan and the TOP of the handle cover has peeled off in less than three months.
Customer services actually said "do not use the cookware over a high heat", its a frying pan FFS, how also could I overheat the top of the handle?”
“Q) When is a 3 year warranty not valid for 3 years? A) When Salter offer it.
I generally try to buy high quality electrical items and don't mind spending a little more on the basis they will last longer. I purchased a Salter XL sandwich maker just over a year ago which came with a 3 year warranty. The unit is very poorly made and the plastic clasp broke recently - after 1 year but well within 3. Got in touch with Salter who refused to honour warranty because i hadn't registered it with them, despite me providing original purchase receipt. They even suggested i take the item to an electrician to repair the cheap plastic part that failed. I have a 30year old Breville that still works but it's a bit smaller. This will be my last Salter purchase. Poor quality products and dire customer service.”
