Please don't use this company. Absolute disgrace. Had damaged products sent. Only offered £5 refund. Totally rubbish.

I cant believe such a valued Family company now has Robots talking to you. Bought mechanical Bathroom scale the dial is very stiff and when it is moved to the 0 position it moves around. After explaining all i got asked was Batch date??? Am i putting it on a flat surface?? Yes i am. Im a Slimming World consultant so i know how to weigh myself. Did not even mention that the scale could be faulty. Not impressed with Salter now. Obviously using China for budget appliances now. Such a shame

Not happy with their EK2818H Air Fryer. Impossible to contact them by any method including their web chat. Do not buy anything from this Company. They used to be an excellent company with great products - but no longer!!!

Unfortunately I can't leave a lower score than 1 star for this company. I am a pensioner and have been using cooking pots and pans of many different makes for about 55 years. 15 months ago I purchased 2 Salter frying pans from Lidl. These pans boasted a 10 year guarantee, so I though brilliant I will get them! Now after only using on medium heat for frying bacon, sausages, onions, mushrooms, for breakfast about once a fortnight, I discovered the non-stick has started lifting and coming off, from 1 of the pans (both have discoloured badly on the non-stick surfaces) and I contacted Salter customer services to ask if I could take the faulty pan back to Lidl for a replacement/refund. I was told that after 12 months all faults had to be referred to Salter.co.uk for them to deal with. So I sent proof of purchase, photos of lifting coating, details of how the pan was used (medium heat) and guess what! I got a reply saying it appeared that I had cooked with too high heat and so they would not consider refunding or replacing !! I have since viewed many negative reviews by customers that have had similar/ identical problems and they have been given the same BRUSH OFF responces from Salter.co.uk. This is the FIRST time I have ever had a problem with non-stick pans in over 50 years of cooking, and I am very insulted by Salter.co.uk's answer and attitude towards a polite complaint by me for a faulty product that should last at least 10 years (according to their guarantee) BTW. I also have a large non-stick wok by Salter that I do cook with a high heat for searing meat, cooking curry, stews etc, and this pan is absolutely fine after 4-5 years of use !! No contact available by phone, so have to spend much time typing conversations via their chat system, which is not much fun when you can only type with one finger on each hand and have arthritis in fingers ! Needless to say I will not be purchasing ANY of their products ever again, and I would advise any potential purchasers of Salter products, to think again !!

Bought a Heston Blumenthal Precision Scales under 3 years ago - normal kitchen usage. Now does not work - have changed batteries. Very disappointing at the quality for an expensive product.

I would not buy this again. It developed a fault, leaked into the base, after 14 months of use. Their customer service has hidden behind their warranty and small print to abdicate responsibility for their poor product quality and lack of longevity. They have not been interested in retaining the goodwill of the customer and future purchasing power so purchase at your peril.

Bought a frying pan and the TOP of the handle cover has peeled off in less than three months. Customer services actually said "do not use the cookware over a high heat", its a frying pan FFS, how also could I overheat the top of the handle?

This company is a disgrace , they do not want to here you have a faulty product . Instead pass the buck to who sold the item . The seller never made the item . Do not buy Salter products because the guarantee is not worth the paper it is wrote on .

Q) When is a 3 year warranty not valid for 3 years? A) When Salter offer it. I generally try to buy high quality electrical items and don't mind spending a little more on the basis they will last longer. I purchased a Salter XL sandwich maker just over a year ago which came with a 3 year warranty. The unit is very poorly made and the plastic clasp broke recently - after 1 year but well within 3. Got in touch with Salter who refused to honour warranty because i hadn't registered it with them, despite me providing original purchase receipt. They even suggested i take the item to an electrician to repair the cheap plastic part that failed. I have a 30year old Breville that still works but it's a bit smaller. This will be my last Salter purchase. Poor quality products and dire customer service.

I was given as a gift a NutriPro 1200, and after just one use, it wouldn’t work. After many emails, the company refused to replace it. The customer service is atrocious, this is also reflected on many reviews. I strongly advise any potential customer be very wary of this unprofessional company. It is also impossible to speak to anyone in person, only through the internet, which discriminates against those who do not subscribe to the internet.

Purchased the SALTER rose gold edition toaster - as per the other reviews, it developed a burning smell after about 2 months of use. I contact SALTER under the guarantee and was told to take the issue up with the original retailer. Very disappointing service from what used to be a great brand but now is little more than cheaply produced, over-priced trash.

I purchased the Salter kettle from Lidl, after two weeks in use I noticed a burning smell , it consequently stopped working , having misplaced the receipt I took the kettle back to Lidl who exchanged the item less than a week later again I noticed a burning smell and the kettle stopped working . Again I went back to the store but was told they could no longer help me and I was advised to contact Lidl head office. I was curious so I googled reviews for this product and realized I was not the only one who had experienced burning then the stopped working

I recently purchased the Salter EK2649RG Pyramid Kettle from Lidl. I initially noticed a slight burning smell from the kettle but took it to be the finish settling in, After a few days the product stopped working, unfortunately I no longer had the receipt so decided to investigate, on removing the bottom housing I observed that the wiring was in contact with the housing and had burned a hole through. I decided to advise the company of the issue as it might have been of interest to them and I could not return it but their best response was that because I had opened it the guarantee was void, no apology, no interest that may have improved the process just the get out of jail card..."You opened it" Best avoided.

I purchased a salter 3in1 snack maker, Thank heavens it was through Amazon. I plugged it in and followed the instructions carefully to produce I think the best two waffles I have ever eaten. HOWEVER I then reloaded again following the instructions. I waited for the steam to stop it didn't instead it turned to smoke, I immediately disconnected from power. On trying to open the unit it fell apart, all the plastic parts had melted including the plate retaining clips. I contacted Salter Customer Service the next morning who could do nothing except suggest I return the item to the retailer. Contacted Amazon, no problem the unit was returned the following day. This is why I shop at Amazon. On reading the reviews I understand that this is not the first time this has happened with regard to the Salter 3 in 1b.
