“I can't emphasize enough how my experience with Service 4 Service turned into a nightmare. These individuals are not only rude but also come across as aggressive and deceitful.
My ordeal began when the gearbox of my 2018 BMW X2, which was under warranty, failed. I initially sought a quote from BMW, who quoted me a staggering ยฃ8,000 for repairs. Feeling overwhelmed by the cost, I reached out to Service 4 Service, hoping for a more reasonable solution.
They painted a rosy picture, assuring me that they could fix the issue for a maximum of ยฃ2,500, including VAT. They even promised to collect my car, diagnose the problem, and redeliver it for free. Moreover, they claimed it would be serviced at a local garage within 10 miles of my location in Crewe. It sounded like a dream come true, but it was all a mirage.
After booking in, I had to wait three weeks to get my car collected, which was four days later than initially promised. Apologies flowed, but the ordeal was just starting. It took an additional two weeks for them to provide a diagnostic report, and then came the shockerโan estimate of ยฃ12,000 plus VAT for the repairs.
Imagine my dismay when I received a call from a very rude individual named Julian. Naturally, I expressed my unwillingness to proceed with this exorbitant repair. To my astonishment, they claimed to have already contacted my warranty provider, which declined coverage due to the astronomical amount they had requestedโa sum they deemed ridiculous and due to this the costs would all fall to me.
When I asked for my car's return, they informed me that they had relocated it to Bedford. It appears that A1 Premier Transmissions is the actual garage involved (as I could see on my BMW app). To retrieve my car for the diagnostics and recoveries that were supposed to be free, I had to pay over ยฃ1,500 plus VAT. It felt like I had fallen into a trap. I later called A1 premier transmissions who informed me that there repair cost was ยฃ1500+VAT but they could not work with me directly as I had booked with service 4 service, a booking agent. So what was I paying an extra ยฃ10,500 for?
Both George and Julian displayed extreme rudeness, dismissiveness, and uncooperativeness especially when I questioned the cost after speaking to A1. I had no choice but to pay the recovery and diagnostic fee to regain possession of my vehicle and, at the very least, explore other options for repair under warranty.
If you're reading reviews, please ensure you read this one carefully. Service 4 Service is nothing more than a middleman, transporting your vehicle to remote garages and pressuring you into costly repairs. They refuse to disclose the car's location and won't return it without demanding extortionate amounts.
I strongly believe that watchdog agencies should investigate this company's unethical practices. I've already sought assistance from Citizens Advice and my bank to reclaim the money. This is a scam-ridden company, and I implore you to avoid them at all costs.”

I think it would be quicker if I take all the 1 star reviews already posted on here and consolidate them all together into one review to describe how disappointed I am with this company. I have been threatened 3 times to take my review down but I will not do that this time. After 10 months my car has not been fixed! this is just unbelievable and I am livid ! I feel so disgusted with the way they have dealt with me and my situation with my car, took advantage of being an engine repair and literally ripped me off, (ยฃ4,680) no proactive updates or communication whatsoever, no transparency on what needed changing and went head with the repairs without discussing them with me or even provide options as for that cost I would have put a new engine in, I had to chase every single day and all I got was : "repairs are well underway" and I still didn't know how much I was going to pay and emails not replied to, being forced by the managing director to sign the satisfaction note as this is "standard procedure" even though I was not happy with the service and the car was still at the garage and obviously the address was never shared until I paid everything and signed the satisfaction note. After 10 months the car has not been fixed and each time I have been told different things from the garage .The guy from New Tech Repair in Tottenham (partner with Service4Service) has been very unprofessional , talking over me all the time thinking I am stupid and I don't understand anything about cars, incompetent and not to mention how many times I had to go back and forth and leave the car for weeks and yet has not been repaired with poor acceleration, lot of noise coming from the engine and the "engine light repair needed" still on since December 2022!
I asked to supply evidence of what the issue was and I never had a piece of report or photo from this garage and just got an invoice to pay of nearly ยฃ5K! This battle has been ongoing for 10 months and left the car more in the garage than driving it and the Finance company I have the agreement with cannot proceed with the compliant I raised as they have no evidence from Service4Service that the car was faulty at the point of sale. They have pretended to try and help me only after I posted the 1 star review and asked to put it down, and failed each time to fix my car. The car went to another garage they partner with, and the car is getting worse with new symptoms each day! they swapped engines and I don't know what engine has been put in my car right now...honestly I have no words.
Please trust me on what I am saying and do not ever deal with this company unless you are prepared to be constantly lied to ,spend a fortune and not getting your car fixed. I am genuinely warning you to be extra careful when looking for specialists to fix your car and avoid Service4Service and their partners as they are unprofessional and incompetents. I am happy to provide all the emails and chats to proof how unprofessional this company is and I am taking legal actions.”
“I do not recomand this company! They offer free recovery, which in my case was just transport to garage but will over charge you! My car was functional, it was just making a strange sound at departure. For that I paid almost 4000 ยฃ. They sent my car to another service garage (A1 Transmission) to repair it. Maybe this is why they offer ,,free recovery"! If you have a complain they are going to blame each other.”

The worst experience you can have, first of all I will be offered a quote, which then changed a few days, would be a gear box repair for 2800 pounds, after a few days they call me saying I should change the clutch and actuator and everything would go away. leave for more than 4000 pounds, not to mention that the expectation was 2 weeks to solve my problem, "solved" in 5 weeks paying a total with VAT of more than 6000 pounds (price of a used car), creating an unreasonable stress on me and my family, to the point of my wife crying asking them to return the car, 0 empathy on their part. at the end they return the car to me still with problems, that is, they haven't solved anything in 5 weeks, I call and they tell me that I should drive the car for a few days so that the system can "learn", well this system they said didn't learn anything , I contacted the garage directly, in January and they didn't know what it could be, they did and redone the programming in the gearbox and told me to "TRY", anyway for a few days it was ok, then the problem returns, I return at the end of March and they keep my car for another 4 days, until I find out that they put the wrong clutch in my car, I drove for 3 months after making the payment on a car that they never fixed, and they made me waste time and money, but today, exactly after several months and having driven only 6000 miles after payment the car has the same symptoms as when I send the car to the garage, and I still have to hear from the mechanic mockery and a total lack of interest in fulfilling the basics that deliver my car in a decent way and fixed, my advice, avoid service4service, any problem they have they will have no interest in solving, and more will tell you something different from what you will pay. It's only a few months away and my warranty is almost over, and they haven't finished a job that is almost completing a year, and they still have the courage to check if I'm still under warranty, when they never gave me the car repaired, until the The mechanic himself recognizes that the amount they charged me goes beyond normal, they will deceive you too. They tricked me saying they would change the gearbox and it was still one of their excuses for the delay in delivering the car and after long months their mechanic tells me he never changed it but just repaired it!!!!!

“I wish I could leave no stars! This company is a sham, they quoted for a job and for it to be done to 10 days. They took over 5 months to do the job, no communication as to why it was taking so long, not taking calls, not answering emails.
I was charged double what was quoted. My car also clocked 250 whilst in their care which can only mean the car was working and they drove it without my permission. They are a sham of a business and no one should ever go to them.”
