“This was,nt a self drive holiday, but a coach holiday, From Liverpool to Whitby. Monday to Friday. What a great holiday it was from start to finish. Day excursions to York, Scarborough, Steam Railway trip. Great hotel in Whitby, good food, nice rooms. Must mention our driver for the 5 days. Anthony was great, very good driver, felt safe with him behind the wheel. His knowledge of the area and attractions was fabulous. Would recommend Shearings. Will use again.”
“We had a very happy at the George Hotel Chollerford. The room was just perfect and comfortable. The food was high standard served by a happy band of waiting staff.
The leasure centre and swimming pool was the icing on the cake, for us, twice a day all week.
All that, in a lovely setting of well tended gardens, a credit to the gardeners.
The first Scout Lord Robert Baden Powell stayed at this hotel in 1908, if it was “good enough for him” it was perfect for us.
