“I’ve just received’Wintering’ to give as a Christmas present, which I chose following seeing their instagram review for Christmas books. The delivery and ordering process was easy and prompt. The choice of books available from the shop are different from the run of the mill bookshops, which I love, and with the theme of the the natural world running through them all feels more relevant for todays concern for the the planet.”

“I have ordered a few beautiful books from Sherlock and Pages. There is a great variety of titles (my wish list is getting longer by the day!). The delivery takes only a few days and are wrapped well. I know I could probably buy the books from Amazon but I'd rather pay the extra £2 to £3 to know that I am supporting a small business in the UK. I'm hoping that in the not too distant future I'll be visiting your lovely shop in person.”

“Great choice of books and very prompt delivery when ordering online. Packaging is good too so books arrived in perfect condition. Sadly I live too far away to visit the shop in person but one day I will as it looks amazing!”

“My purchases are for a friend, so I can’t comment on the books themselves. But the website, the ease of ordering, the speed of delivery, the responsiveness to queries, and the quality of the packaging are AWESOME! Not to mention the charming instagram posts and reels, and the gorgeousness of the shop itself! Have I forgotten anything? Oh the tremendous hair of the leading man!”

“What a gem of a bookshop, bought three recommmended titles online, the books arrived quickly in perfect condition am half way through Wintering and love it! I'm giving the other two titles as gifts for xmas and will definitely be back in the new year for more. Long live independent bookshops, Frome is lucky to have you on their high street.”

“Fabulous selection of books but what's really good is that the packaging for postal orders actually protects the books, no bent corners or scrapes across the covers - what a refreshing change from getting books thrown in a bag and sent out with no care for how they arrive.”
