“I found Sherlock and Pages via social media and was instantly attracted to them being an independent bookseller specialising in several areas of interest to me. Having ordered five books in one transaction, these were promptly received and I have enjoyed each one of them. I highly recommend that readers consider S&P before chain/online booksellers.”

“Sherlock&Pages? Well, they're pretty terrific if you ask me! Pretty little shop at the bottom of the hill in Frome, a go ahead town in sleepy Somerset, where Luke and Agathe renovated a hairdressers salon into a magic space specializing in lovely things like books - about the richness that the natural world and the British landscape have to offer. They embrace all that is good and uplifting, fun and mysterious, legend and history, and offer it to us with a service that is prompt, kindly and professional, without being stuffy about it. Meanwhile they are happy to post/ship, have started a book club, and are always interviewing interesting authors on their Instagram posts. They are very much in touch with the internet, and I can't wait to meet them in person some day very soon. Do visit them if you can, and say Hi from me!”

“Sherlock and Pages is a treasure of a bookshop. Every book is tempting you to read it, be it of history, the environment or purely literature; clearly curated with thought, love and passion. The little bookshop in Frome is a delight and the online shop is well put together.”

“Excellent experience - I love the selection of books they have with a focus on the thoughtful & contemplative. From following them on Instagram, I learned about their page and chose some of their recommended books for me and my husband and have not been disappointed. Both in perfect condition (paperbacks) and timely delivery. Very happy to support this small independent bookshop.”

“Independent businesses usually offer a better service than large corporations and Sherlock & Pages is no exception. They despatch orders at the first available moment after receipt, pack them beautifully, and trust a carrier who also works efficiently. “S&P is a beautiful welcoming curated bookshop on the cobbled Catherine Hill in Frome. I’ve tagged them on bookshop.org, bought direct from their website, and made a visit. I love the gentle commitment to nature and our relations with it and the excellent local sites to see recommendations. Use it. This is one of the good ones.”

“Excellent service and delivery was prompt and carefully wrapped. I really like the website as it gives lists of recommendations for different topics which helps you decide what to read next. The Instagram page also has lots of interesting suggestions and discussions so even though I’ve never visited the shop I feel like I have! I read a range of fiction and non fiction with a particular interest in nature and historical fiction and I find lots in their online shop. Also, it feels good to support an independent bookshop.”

“This is a truly wonderful bookshop with a great variety of books. The titles are ones that are not so readily available in more conventional bookshops or websites. Luke and his team are fantastic at providing recommendations and highlighting certain titles. Customer service is courteous and efficient. I have already identified several books as Christmas presents for family and friends who are all tricky to by for.”

“The book I ordered was delivered really speedily, safe and sound all the way from Somerset to Orkney. It wasn't a fiction book I'd seen anywhere else but S&P's focus on the natural world mean they offered something completely different. I was inspired to buy a book from the shop because I follow the brilliant videos on social media and, even though I live hundreds of miles away, I wanted to support this unique bookshop. Highly recommended.”
