“I purchased cycling rain pants back in 2019 for the rare occasion when I am on a cycling trip and it rains.
I live in Los Angeles where is almost never rains and I certainly do not need to cycle on the rare occasion it does.
Hence, these cycling rain pants were in a drawer or in a trunk bag and never needed until last October 2024. Shockingly, they failed miserably and I was SOAKED.
My husband on the other hand, had the same brand of pant and was bone dry.
I had to purchase dry leggings to finish the ride
BUT when I returned to the States and called Showers Pass, i was told to send the pants back for evaluation. Then they proceded to tell me the failure was due to wearing and sweating in them and / or washing them too infrequently. This was DESPITE clearly describing that these pants had never been worn or washed before the disastrous ride in the rain.
VERY disabpointed by this lousy unfounded explanation.
Replacement would have been more appropriate.”
“Return customer. Have been happy with everything I’ve purchased fm showers pass. First time riding through cold months & made excellent glove & jacket upgrades to get me through. Also nice to support a local pnw company.”
“we will see. call this the first impression as product not used extensively enough to comment. excited to receive after hearing such much about. tried on, good fit, tried opening thigh vents and immediately the right pull detached from the string which routes through the zipper pull. not a good first impression after paying a premium...”
Hey Michael, thanks for taking the time to write a review and for letting us know about the zipper pull. We hope you've had a chance to test your pants out in the world and that they are performing excellently. We'll send a free zipper pull replacement to you by mail, so please keep an eye out.
“Most recently, I've ordered two wind jackets, light weight and waterproof. I live in Southern California so testing the waterproofness is unpredictable - we don't get much rain here and my club bike rides are usually cancelled if it's raining. BUT I've worn each of them (same jackets but different colors) now and find them a useful layer when it's not too cold and not warm enough. It's useful because it can be shed quickly when the weather warms enough to not need the extra layer. And it's lightweight enough to stuff in a pocket or handlebar bag. These jackets come with a small bag in which to stuff the jacket.”
“I recently bought a bicycling rain jacket from Showers Pass. It came in a small box, zipped inside a reusable, large, sturdy zip-locking bag. THAT WAS IT FOR PACKAGING! Somebody gets it! 😃
The jacket is sturdy and keeping me dry in a rainy month where I'm riding to and from work daily, as well as on errands. I am very happy with my Showers Pass purchase!”
“I enjoy my Showers Pass jacket, it is my 3rd jacket. The prior 2 finally fell apart perhaps to the glue that no longer held the seams together. The sale price of $89 was awesome. It is a perfect product for my cycling in the SF bay area especially in the winter where it rains and the warmth of the jacket is perfect with a couple of underneath layers. I used to cycle in the rain in Oregon and that jacket was the go to for breathability but still would keep me dry. So now I wear it more for warmth as mentioned above.”
“We recentlhy ordered a new cycling outer layer for my wife, as her last Showers Pass Jacket finally gave up it's spirit after 15 years! She loved the jacket, so we tried to replace it. The sizing had changed over the years and when the replacement arrived, it was too big. We went through the return process, and during that process, I sent an email to them explaining what we were hoping to get. Received a prompt response, and a much better option that we had chosen for the replacement. Thank you Evan!

“Finally my head won't be wet!The detachable hood is everything I hoped it would be,secure velcro fastening to the jacket and big enough to cover my helmet. We'll done Showers Pass.”
“My delivery was late by more than two weeks! But, Showers Pass certainly made it right. They listened to my complaints and then made it right! Without even a question asked, they sent me another pair of the gloves I had ordered!! Shower Pass is certainly a company that stand by their morals. What a refreshing experience!!!!”
“I have previously purchased and used the Women's Transit Pant, Trailhead Hoodie, and Men's Elite 2.1 Jacket. This time, I ordered the Women's Refuge Pant. I bike commute to work daily (15 miles/day), and the Transit Pants fit well and held up for ~4 years, working well for wind and rain protection. The Refuge Pants also fit well so far, and the additional features are nice - zip vents, pocket, suspender option, reinforced seat (Transit Pants wore out in the seat first). Altogether, the Showers Pass gear does its best given the inherent compromises between fabric weight, cost, and water resistance. If I find something with similar fit but higher durability, I'll be tempted to switch, but for many people this gear is the right choice. Further, items ship quickly and the packaging is very thoughtful - things I very much appreciate.”
“Great equipment that is reasonably priced
The packable rain jacket I bought was for my female partner. I wish you would make one designed for women. It is the most versatile cycling jacket I have”
“I wasn't pleased that I had to pay for a line-item called "free exchange $3.08" to me this seems like a junk fee added to make your expensive product seem $3.08 less expensive. These are cheap tactics.”
