Total scam
Total scam. I bought some items from here and was satisfied.. upon bidding agin I won a few lots it came to around 1k... I spoke to them on the Monday morning (on the phone) to make payment this was about 950 am... I was told to go online and pay in the meantime I had a customer so logged in to pay around 10.10 am for my account to be blocked so I rang back and was informed my account was banned and the won items would be sold to someone else.. I said I'm 10 mins late can't I pay now to be told no... then I ask for my account unlocking and my 200 deposit back to be told they are keeping the deposit but my account can be unlocked.... hope the 200 was worth losing a customer who would of spent around 2k a month there.
Scammers at its worst”
“Disgusting customer service to a buyer who purchased over 400+ lots from them.
Be WARNED its there way or they block your account.
Even though they sell item which are Disgusting and broken with generic photos .They don't care as their terms and conditions states they have no recourse or morals to any single buyer.
What excuses or terms and conditions have you got now.
No protection for buyers at any level
BE WARNED.”
“Bad fake designer good, i returned it via their arranged carrier they sent me, delivered back to them and now they are advising this was not received ?? no Refund ? they lost the item inside their store/warehouse and i have to be liable for that ?”
“awful experience and trying to pick up items is shambolic, why do they have time slots and then send the same slots to everyone , there must have been at least 30 people waiting to pick up items yesterday, car park full nowhere to park, lack of staff to help then you get your items and they are so damaged i had to send to the tip - be aware and guess what after this review they have blocked my account ha ha so childish i take it they don't like constructive criticism”
“They are selling broken items. Deliberately hiding the damage on pictures. And refusing to refund when you mention the mistake. Don't buy anything from them. Waist of money.”
“Shocking. Avoid! Bid and paid for several iPads. This company sent me a box of sky boxes instead. I sent evidence of their wrongdoing and completely blanked me. Now having to take legal action.”
“Don't believe description its all lie. Laptop saying its have 256gb ssd 8 gb ram i5 7200u, arrived with a burnt motherboard and no components. galaxy Buds+ cant connect both at the same time Or you listen right and no left or you listen left no right... And I iphone 7. icloud locked, stolen!”
“Bought a drill

So tgey send me a broken old
Throwed in a bin”
“I absolutely had to balance out the terrible reviews on here. I had never used auctions before and was terrified to read the reviews AFTER I'd bid for £730 worth of things (this included all the fees and postage. I comforted myself knowing that I had read that these were customer returns and have the common sense to know they were returned for a reason. I had gone through the pictures really carefully, zooming in and having the sense to check their new value online for comparison. They were all pics of the exact item (no catalogue images) and tended to show any areas of damage. I personally would never buy something that was just a generic image and I see this is what a lot of people have taken issue with. Additionally, I ONLY bought things that I knew I could fix. For example, I bought numerous, beautiful, high end lamps knowing that, so long as they weren't smashed (and i could see they weren't from the images) that the worse that could happen if they didn't work is I'd need to change a switch or wire.
Honestly, if you have basic skills with a screwdriver, WD40 and, at most, a soldering iron, you will have no problems. That being said, I had brought with the expectation of receiving items that didn't work. We’ll, so far I have received nearly all of my orders and they are AMAZING! most are perfect and I cannot, for the life of me, figure why they were returned. One lamp has no shade (which I knew) but the lamp itself is so much more beautiful than i could imagine and i would have chosen my own shade anyway. I bought a GHD hairdryer worth £130 for about £6. it squealed when turned on...i put a bit of WD40 on it....fixed. A brand new GHD hairdryer for pennies just for having some common sense. bargain!! I wouldn't say it has been completely smooth sailing with a misundertsanding at one point but I will say that I have mailed and called with questions and every time I have been seen to right away. I have spent £730 on items worth over 2.5k. I had to kit out an entire apartment in one go and this has made the difference between function and beauty AND saved so much money! I am very happy. Please don't be put off. If you're willing to put your thinking cap on and be THOROUGH you'll be happy! I’ll put some pictures up of my items when I have time to take them all back out again.”

“Don’t buy from this place with their shoddy practises. Items don’t turn up go missing they don’t issue refunds and finally when you leave a bad review they block your account for leaving your thoughts about your experience. They literally peanalize you for speaking your mind, till today I still haven’t received my money or the items I bid on. Just look at all their reviews on google and other online platforms they have conned majority of their customers. I’m taking this further and reporting them for every shoddy practise they’re preaching at that god for shaken place. Don’t buy whatever you do either u won’t see your item or your money it’s happened to soo many people”
“Claimed to have delivered an item. When i queried it they locked my account. Going through fraud with Barclays now. Buyers beware these are scam merchants”
“I bought a printer to find out it is not working, missing parts and broken. When I checked the warranty’s record; I found it has been used for more than a year.
Contacted the auctioneer. There were dismissing and didn’t reply to my second email. Complete scam.”
“I have been buying from Simon Charles for over 25 years and been very happy with there service and staff
I will say one thing if you win. lots in there auction and are not happy it’s because you didn’t view them beforehand
I am also guilty of not always viewing. but I then consider it to be my fault if I’m not happy so my advice is VIEW !!”
“Bad bad bad!!! Stay away and don't waste your money, sell fake items and state in terms and conditions they are not responsible for genuineness of items they are selling!! Reporting to Trading Standards , Fraud Office... Did not even want to give 1 star !”
“The pet bed I bought had broken zips smelled horrific and covered in big black hairs customer return disgusting complained but nothing do now going to trading standards also note they post knives through the post without checking age”
