“The Plough at Bradford Leigh was largely fine (comments on it sent elsewhere). We booked last year when choices were very limited and would have preferred a house with pool and rather more leisure facilities. Sleeps12's business model is rather inflexible when it comes to changing the booking to another property: there were loads of cancellations and offers this year which we were unable to take advantage of because (I was told) we would have to risk our booking at The Plough not being transferred to another person and so might finish up paying for both. So although we finished up with a pretty good (actually rather expensive) holiday we felt rather trapped in our first choice. And yes: value for money was not great - we occupied 15 out of 20+ bed spaces, but had to pay for the lot. I expect rather more flexibility and 'fairness' if we are to book again.”

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear your choice of property was not a property you originally wanted to book. Looking for a property when there is limited availability is always difficult and has been even more limited with the pandemic causing issues over the last 18 months. We would always advise potential guests to research properties and book well in advance to avoid disappointment, especially if you are looking for a property with a pool and other leisure facilities. I must also point out here at Sleeps 12 we pride ourselves in our customer service and if in any doubt when choosing a property you can call the office where one of the team will be more than happy to help. Although disappointing for yourself and the group, as you felt you could not move from your booked property to take advantage of a special offer or alternative property, your option to move was presented to you and had you wished to move you could have done so. With regards to the price of the property, the price you pay is for the property and not per person. Your choice to book a property that slept 20+ was very simply your choice and I am sure you can appreciate Sleeps 12 are not responsible for this fact. I am sorry you felt we were inflexible and even unfair and I am hopeful that this response will highlight that it was ultimately your decisions that led you to feel frustrated about the situation you found yourself in. As you can see from our other reviews we generally have very happy customers and hope that we can help you find a property that better matches your requirements next time.

“Fabulous houses available to to hire through Sleeps12. I found browsing houses available and booking through this site very easy . When I sent emails or phoned, staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend.”

“Excellent service from Jessica plus Helen especially after last year having to cancel holiday from April 20 due to being a vulnerable person due to lockdown The booking insurance company would not refund balance of holiday until Jessica informed them that I had sent the right documents proving to them that I had cancelled before the lockdown dates were made public A full refund was then Recieved from the insurance company thanks to Jessica. Regards Ken lewry”

“Great service, extremely helpful and excellent property the property owners were amazing too. We will definitely use this company again as what we found on arrival exceeded all our expectations. We hadn't seen any photos as it was new on their portfolio but it was amazing, we all had a fabulous stay.”

“A prompt courteous service whilst offering a luxurious array of holiday homes. We hired The Churchill in Somerset which was exceedingly well equipped, very comfortable and with spectacular views. The owner and his wife went out of their way to ensure our family had the best holiday ever.”

“We stayed at Berry House and it was ideal for our large family holiday. There was plenty of room for us all and the pool was really enjoyed by adults and children alike. The outside space was ideal for barbecues and the aga in the kitchen was well used. A lovely house in a lovely location We could not have asked for anything better from Sleeps12. Would recommend them to friends and family”
