Took my car in for an MOT and service, Stoneacre sent me my quote for £2000 worth of work that needed completing on my FORD focus - allegedly one of the most affordable cars to fix. I paid for the work that needed completing to enable the car to pass its MOT and found a regular garage to take another look at the car, £380 to fix the problem and could not find the ‘oil leak’ that stoneacre wanted £869 to ‘fix’. Absolute rip off.

Not even worthy on 1 star. Took my car for an safety recall ….told I would get it back same day. I’m am still waiting on day 4. No information from staff, no phone calls, absolutely useless I’ve had to do all the phoning asking what is going on. When they don’t know the answer they act dumb and say they can’t hear me and keep putting the phone down 😡 Day 4 I am told they are doing other peoples cars first that are booked in for day so mine just gets pushed back everyday unbelievable. They are now saying another 3 days 🤦‍♀️ Not only that they have disconnected back reverse camera and told me I need to sort that myself as it isn’t an official seat camera, even though it came with the car when I bought it. I wish I have never took it for the update/recall. I will never visit this Doncaster branch again. They are worse than seat in hull. I wish I’d never purchased a seat car.

Booked car in for 4 new tyres at 8.30am. Told bring it on for 8am. Time slot was half hour for changing tyres, they knew I was waiting. Took 4 hours, pathetic, rubbish, at the time time I was getting discs and pads done, did not do them. Incompetence and a technician with a brain the size of a pea.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Believe me it will cost you if you take your car in here.. only quoted for half a job but didn’t tell me. Took my car in for a quote for replacing lock and handle part five days ago. Technician looked at it saw the damaged handle and lock said they could fix it. Took them five days and several e.mails back and forth to sort keycode which I gave them on day 1. Left acar with them today, just picked it up to find the lock replaced but still broken handle. When I queried this was told “oh that’s not included in the price “Do they really think I was paying £285 for an incomplete job, one would presume they would be replacing the damaged part of the handle. Would they sell a car on their forecourt with a piece of handle missing.ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS. After paying all that money I still have a broken handle on my car.Shame on you.

Uninterested, uncaring not bothered about customer service or repairing your vehicle. Only interested in what they can charge for. Not true mechanics just plug in diagnostics. They don't look after the vehicle or the customer. Totally unwilling to find the cause of my vehicles problem. Avoid this place.

In May 2020 I will buy a Volvo V90 AV18MXF car from Harrogate Mill branch. The car cost me £ 21,000 and I transferred the entire amount in cash. Immediately after the purchase, Kieran Clay from Stoneacre service plan se team contacted me. He offered me a plan to which I agreed, which I regret today. In January 2021 I got a letter reminding me of the upcoming annual service for my car. I went to a service in Sunderland to book a visit. As it turned out later, due to my fault, the service plan was poorly formulated and after talking to Kieran Clay stated that despite the fact that my car is due for service in February, he had moved it to June for reasons known only to himself. He immediately offered to cancel the service plan and buy a new one. He said the entire amount would be refunded to me. Unfortunately, the new plan will apply to 2022. So I will have to pay the annual service for 2021 in cash. The new service plan is on much worse terms than the previous one, it is more expensive. Another thing that worries me is that the car should be serviced in February and he moved it to me in June. The last service before buying the car was in February 2020. In my opinion, if you buy the car, the service should be done at the time of purchase, i.e. in May 2020. Unfortunately, Kieran Clay said that it was not his fault and it must be so. If for any reason my car loses its warranty, I will be forced to hire a lawyer and bring the case to court. Back to the first service plan that Kieran Clay sold me. The money I paid for it was returned to me less the cancelation fee. When I found out about this, I contacted Kieran immediately and he assured me that the plan was canceled through no fault of my own and the cancelation fee would be refunded to me. It was mid-January 2021. Today is March 2, and after a few calls with Kieran, the money hasn't been returned to me to this day. Today it is 02/03/2021 I talked to him again and told him that I was disgusted with the way Stoneacre treats its customers and wants to make an official complaint. He said an email was sent to emac on February 23, and there was nothing else he could do for me. He gave me an emailto his manager, Ryan Cheadle, and an email number so that I could arrange my refund myself. After talking to Emac, I was informed that they had not received any e-mail asking for a refund and that as long as they did not receive such instructions, they could do nothing. It looks like I can't get anything done about it. Therefore, I am addressing this matter as an official complaint against Kieran Clay, Ryan Cheadle and Stoneacre. How is it possible that such a respected company as Stoneacre is not able to solve such a flimsy problem. I expect a refund, an explanation as to why the annual service for my car was postponed to June and reduce its price to the amount of my first service plan. I would like an explanation as to why the car was sold to me without an annual service. Yours sincerely

Wanted to purchase a car. Told Alex would call me back with a price on my car within an hour. They didn't. Salesman Alex said he did, but no voicemail left. Very strange. Based on my experience I'd not recommend.

This place allowed a finance contract to be taken out in my sister's name without her even being there, they also sold her car without telling her. Absolute mess we have been struggling with for over a year now. The colleague at the time who did this is now plastered all over the internet as a vile racist. Stay away absolutely, will do anything to rinse you of all your money.

Though professional in terms of service this place is an absolute rip off! A £40 MOT resulted in a need for a £10 part. That ended up costing £150!! A ten pound part plus extortionate labour costs and VAT!!!!!!! They hold on to your car all day and call just before they’re about to close in the full knowledge we rely on our vehicles for work, in my view to add pressure to the situation/decision making process and to leave you unable to source another mechanic without considerable hassle.

Quite simply the most appalling level customer service I have ever encountered. 3 weeks of constant attempts to book in for 1st service and warranty repair work (delivery damage) and 1.5tsi Engine 'kangarooing issue' on a new Leon FR met with arrogance, incompetence, denial, outright lies and eventually being told by the Dealer Principal I am not welcome at the dealership. A breathtaking level of incompetence and a shocking indictment of the Stoneacre franchise / Seat brand. Strongly suggest potential customers avoid.

Steer well clear of this company. Go elsewhere I promise you will get a better honest deal, I could not recommend them, they were less than honest with me.

This review refers to the Cleckheaton branch of Stoneacre... Sadly, despite what appeared (on the face of it) to be an efficient process to start off with (Mark gave a good impression on the phone), my experience of trying to purchase a vehicle from this branch was far from perfect. In short, I was informed (over impressed upon actually) that the vehicle in which I was interested was in very good condition, had been fully valeted and the photos provided proved the condition. I arranged to view the vehicle (it had to be driven down to a branch nearer my location) and travelled over 50 miles to do so. As soon as we saw the vehicle, we immediately spotted several very obvious imperfections (dents, scrapes, scratches) and could also see that the vehicle had not been cleaned properly, as had been intimated. Stoneacre were not prepared to knock a couple of hundred pounds off the asking price for the very obvious defects (a business decision which I find incredibly arrogant and narrow minded) so I told them that I was no longer interested. My time had been wasted (both travelling and pre-arranging the insurance), as had my fuel costs and insurance admin charges. I strongly recommend that, if you intend to purchase from this dealer, you make sure your due diligence is very particular.

Stoneacres, Scarborough. Enquired about a 1.5 Ford Focus Titanium. The dealer did not have one in but could have one delivered for test drive the following day. Paperwork raised with vehicle details BD65AHP and we left £250 deposit. Got phone call next morning to say the vehicle was there. However my wife had already been on line looking at 1.5 ford focus with Cargurru and lo and behold the car with that same number plate (BD65AHP) was on sale at Stoneacres, Doncaster for £1000 less and in Cargurru' opinion it was nearly £700 overpriced. Still wanted to test drive a 1.5 so we kept the appointment. Returning I was approached by the salesperson and he asked what I thought. I confronted him with the information we had found and he was embarrased and flustered. He got the manager who said he knew nothing about it. The salesperson told us the previous day that his manager was on line searching for a suitable 1.5 focus. When I challenged him he denied it and I told him it was advertised by Stoneacre, Doncaster. "Well I can't know every car in the goup" came the reply. OK but you wouldthink that if hewas searching he would have looked at the group stock first. Additionally, they had all the vehicle details printed when they took the £250 deposit! He then asked if I wanted him to knock £1000 off. I declined and said they had tried to rip me off but got caught out. No I did not want £1000 off and had lost all faith in Stoneacres. I insisted on a full refund. The manager turned to the sales person and said give him a refund we don't want HIS customer anyway! A few minutes later I over heard the girl with the card machine asking why I should get a full refund when they had spent money getting the car for a test drive. I got my £250 refunded. 0 out of 5. Very Poor

Closet racists. Poor service. I cancelled the sale deal after making a deposit not £3000. For goodness sake my money was the same British Pound Sterling...it wasn't foreign currency.
