Do not use this company. Like past reviewers I ordered the bare root shrub collection back in January 2021 for delivery in January 2021 (according to them) and I have still not received them It is now May. Looks like I never will. I just receive automated emails with a future delivery date which they never deliver on! AVOID.

Why is everything so slow .give out delivery dates then dont stick to them .will not be using again

DO NOT order for this company if you want to receive your order. I ordered 9 different types of basket plants from them - order cost £70+. They have missed several deadlines, one of the nine items arrived and half of the plants were wet through and rotting, the others have not arrived again as promised. Phoned them yesterday, was told they’d come back to me within 24 hours. Deadline missed again. Phoned again today and spoke to the most obnoxious customer service man I have ever had this misfortune to deal with. Rude, disinterested and condescending. Still have no resolution tho they tell me the plants were shipped 10 days ago tho I have had no email advice for them to that effect. I can only imagine what state they’ll be in if they do finally show up. Avoid Sutton’s like the plague unless you want a whole load of hassle and no refund of your hard earned cash. Deplorable.

Placed order for Bare rooted Shrub collection in March 2020 and still not received as of May 2021. Dozens of emails, phone calls and several requests to speak to a manager, but made no difference. Was actually told today that the items I ordered run out very quickly and was offered a refund. Accepted. Very poorly run company that does not care about customers. BEWARE AT ALL COSTS

I bought 2 fruit trees but all dead when received. I sent photos and asked for replacement. no one contact me over 3 weeks.

Bought suttons seeds some months ago none of them have grown I sent Suttons an email about this but they haven't even bothered to reply won't be buying any more Suttons seeds, they are even asking to send photos what of empty soil

I was very disappointed with receiving a clematis that was more like just a stick and even now after planting and watering there is no sign of any growth.

Ordered Bumper Garden Collection with despatch promised at end April. One day later I have received a mail confirming despatch ONE MONTH LATER. So Suttons either do not have the product or are quite happy to fulfil other orders without putting any effort into providing this product. Disgraceful business behaviour and will never order from them again!

DO NOT USE SUTTONS. Nothing but complaints on their FB site but all hidden as they wont allow reviews. Rubbish service. Constant delays dispatching. Dont reply to enquiries. After repeated emails asking where it was they sent a rude response weeks later stating it says August on website. Dont use this company. Still not sent squash plants either and its now end of April.

Seed germination rate from my experience is about 30%. More success using seeds off our kitchen cutting board.

Suttons issue very "flash" advertising pamphlets and promise the world with their plants. My experience is just one disaster after another. 1. An order of strawberry plants turned into receiving a box of totally dried out roots which had no chance of survival and were obviously no good. Emails to Suttons get you nowhere except promises of replacements which never arrive. 2. An order of perenials ( two lots) were sent to an address 30 miles away. Suttons wanted to know could I go and fetch them? No I couldn't I'm in hospital recovering from Covid. Well could I find someone to go and fetch them for me? Eventually I received a refund. But that wasn't the point. I WANTED the plants, that's why I ordered them. With "lockdown" all over the place I just had to go without this year. 3. They sent a double box of summer bedding plants, supposedly "plug" plants. Well the bigestt were about 1 inch hih and the smallest had ONLY JUST germinated and wer about 1/2 inch high all in TINY little sections of little trays. One would need a pair of tweezers to handle them as they need "potting on" straight away. They were supposed to be ready to plant allbeit under cover but there was no mention of having to re pot every one of these tiny plants into slightly bigger pots. I do not have the facilities to pot on 400 tiny little seedlings (yes 400 of them in very smal seed trays) Well of the 400 seedlings only 150 or so are still alive, still very small and don't look as if they will survive despite all my very time consuming efforts. WORST OF ALL when these pathetic seedlings arrived they had obviously had a very rough journey as half the "plants" were shaken out of their trays and there was earth and seedlings all over the inside of the box and all pretty well dried out. VERY POOR PACKAGING and as was shown hardly any chance of the plants surviving the delivery journey. Cost of these plants £84 plus p&p wjich will never be refunded. MARKS OUT OF !) FOR SUTTONS -5. NEVER ORDER AGAIN!!!!!!

I'm a mug! Last year ordered a lot of Spring planting plugs. Items turned up 3 months later, dried out rubbish, straight in the waste bin. This year placed a different early order. Sent email to confirm dispatch and delivery via Whistl. Still waiting. Contacted Whistl who knew nothing of this order. Here we go again, for the second year. Stay away from Suttons, you stand more chance of winning with a one armed bandit. The sooner they go" "pop" the better.

My order didn't turn up after 10 days. Contacted them via email got an auto response email saying someone will contact you in 72 hours....waited another 3 days nothing. Contacted them again via email got another auto response saying the same but now its 7 days before someone can just answer my question of where my order is. They have taken my money and now im trying to get it back. Awfull company stay away!

ordered several items, a peony bare root that has done nothing ,, no sign of life, a mulberry bush which looks dead, nicotiana plugs which were mashed and broken delivered by yodel and stock plugs which did not arrive despite Suttons claiming they were delivered at the same time as the nicotiana plugs. 5 messages later I am still waiting for a response.. poor poor customer service

Expensive and the gap between taking your money and delivery of the product is around one month. They would claim to be a reputable company, but they are at best inefficient. Can't comment on the quality of the products, as I haven't received them yet.

I bought a Sutton seeds packet of Cucamelon seeds, supposedly 20 in a pack, sadly only 6. Thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt so bought another, 10 seeds. So out of a potential 40 seeds I have 16. Vaule for money? Most definitely not.

Ordered petunia and stocks plug plant. Arrived on time but on opening both packages all the plants had fallen out of their trays into a jumbled mess. There was no cover over them and about a 50mm gap to the to of the box so it was inevitable that they would tumble about. Called customer service who were very apologetic and offered a refund. Waiting now for it to appear

Placed order 7/3 email stating est. dispatch 8/3. Order not processed until 11/3. Order dispatched 24/3 and arrived 29/3. Web site stated delivered within 14 days, customer services state 14 working days, one is a lie. This is certainly my last experience with Sutton's and would advise others to order elsewhere.

I have tried to get a refund from Suttons because an order for bare root shrubs for which they took the money and failed to provide a delivery date. I use their own web site to make this claim and nothing? Michael O'Donnell
