“Talbots used to be an exceptional and well respected brand, sadly those days are long gone. The customer service is now outsourced, this third party couldn't care less. I just spent an hour and ten minutes waiting on hold, when I finally reached someone, she kept giving me the wrong price. When I tried to do the math with her for the third time she simply hung up on me. I have just wasted an hour and a half my life on their lousy customer service. Talbots just lost a two thousand dollar sale.”
“I bought two belts that stated they were leather. They were both faux leather! They also made me pay $9.00 shipping after false advertising. These were expensive belts & I had no reason to believe they were fake. They were no different from the belts on Amazon sold for a reasonable price for what they are! I will never buy anything from Talbots again!”
“Talbots seems to have farmed out their customer service. I called and had to contend with a very loud call center, sounded huge, with a heavily accented man who was of no help whatsoever. Could barely hear him amongst all the background noise. I ordered what was described as a coat, only to find out after placing the online order that it is actually only a coatigan, completely unlined. I only found this out from the review from another customer, Talbots is selling this at a vey high price, calling it a coat but it isn't! I want to cancel the order but buddy from "customer service" won't do a thing! I am from Canada, so I cannot return it upon delivery as I will be out return shipping plus the huge fee for duties, what a scam company this has turned into!”
“Talbots usually has high quality. The personnel are so warm, yet professional.
However both the black and burgundy jacquard dresses were presented in both images and description online as "flare". I ordered both for an important trip abroad. The dresses were a big disappointment - they were boxy, shapeless, hopeless. Thank goodness for Talbot's easy return policy.”
“Don't buy Talbot's sweaters if they have acrylic in them. I bought two of their sweaters and they began to pill right away. I got no satisfaction from the store, which wouldn't reimburse me even partially because they said the sweaters were purchased more than 60 days before.”
