“On arrival found several empty tables were puked high with dirty plates. This continued to be the case throughout our visit to the Basildon restaurant. Our waitress was lovely but the overall service was slow. 15-20 m8ns on two occasions waiting for alcoholic drinks, 8ncluding a flat lager. The food also was not hot and our burgers were so 9vercooked they had jo flavour, my Meat the Beef had no brisket or gravy in it, a steak platter was missing g a corn on the cob and the cheesy bacon fries lacked cheese and bacon. The best bit was dessert, there was no ice cream at all but we could replace the ice cream on some of the choices with squirty cream. The apple waffle could be ordered minus the ice cream and the apple, so just a waffle basically! I think it was my worst ever experience and when the price is quite high for essentially burger and chips, it is really disappointing. Will not be returning ever.”
