“I’m genuinely appalled by the standard of management at The Black Wolf. My girlfriend and I are both former employees, so we know exactly how this pub is run, and our recent experience confirmed that nothing has changed.
It’s a real shame because the pub has an excellent team. James, Kusum, and Rabi work hard, treat customers with respect, and deserve credit for creating a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, Stephen’s management completely undermines their efforts. He runs the pub like his own dictatorship, shows little regard for professionalism, and creates a negative working environment for both staff and customers.
The reason I’m writing this review is that after my partner and I visited for lunch, Stephen approached me and told us that we were no longer welcome in the pub because our presence supposedly made members of staff feel uncomfortable. This came as a complete shock. We simply came in for a meal, were polite to everyone, and caused no disruption whatsoever. When I asked for an explanation, no evidence or specific reason was provided.
Being banned from a business for such a vague and unsupported allegation is completely unacceptable and deeply unprofessional. Customers deserve transparency and respect, not arbitrary decisions without any justification.
I expected far better from a business that relies on hospitality and customer service. Sadly, this experience only reinforced the concerns I had while working there.”

We were all seated then the manager Conor came to our table and was asking for ID and some people didn’t have any. After a few more people arrived. He kicked all of us out. It was very embarrassing I was waiting for more to arrive. I wanted to have a party at the pub and they said no.
