“Staff were very helpful. Tasting room where you can try whatever you want before you buy. you do it yourself so no pressure from anyone, but staff on help ot hand if needed. Spent £1K but saved £1.5K, well worth the trip.”

“I have used Calais Wine Superstore for many years, visiting two or three times a year. They choice of wines to suit everyone's taste & pocket. The staff are very friendly, knowable & above all our always very helpful. They have a clean well stocked tasting room, so you can always try wines before you purchase. I always spend over £350, we are offered a free ferry crossing for our next trip, so not only do we purchase quality wine at a cheap price, they even pay for our visit. Should the UK leave the EEC our trips are likely to come to an end, which will be such a pity, as I enjoy a a class or two of wine each evening. “I have bought wine from here for years. It's very easy to book the free crossing, and I've always been given the crossing times I've asked for. There's a great selection of wines at amazing prices, English speaking staff, priced in sterling and pay in sterling, so there no loss with exchange rates. You can taste any of the wines and the staff are really helpful. It's great to get a free crossing either for the day or over a couple of days, my daughter in law and grandaughter always look forward to my "wine run" as we have such an enjoyable day including shopping and lunch. If you have any doubts about going, then don't worry, buy and travel with confidence, they are easy to find from both the Eurotunnel and car ferry terminal.”

“This is my regular stop for wine .They have a great selection and the prices are very very good. The staff are helpful and friendly.If you are in Calais you have to stop here,taste some wine. Then buy as much as you can and wonder how to fit it in your car.”

“As always, any trip to Calais Wine is a very enjoyable experience. I have been doing this trip for a good many years now. Very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous staff. Such a choice of wines and the prices, well, I have previously paid £8.99 in Sainsburys for Jacobs Creek, £2.99 in Calais Wine. Do I need to say more!!!!! I hope trips to Calais Wine are still going to be possible after Brexit. Joan Seeger”

“Had exactly what I wanted at the best prices, placed order on-line and went over to collect. Only problem was the french officials working to rule at the border causing unnecessary delays, otherwise a perfect day.”

“Good selection, good prices & excellent service. Have used the superstore for over 8 years now. All the staff remain focused despite the threat of Brexit and the terrible uncertainty it must be placing on job security, and stock management must be a nightmare Really hope they survive and thanks to everyone for such great service over the years”

“We have dealt with CWS for over a decade and the service and quality has always been great. They continue to provide good wine at the best price they can despite fluctuations in the value of the £ sterling. Considering the uncertainty they are facing as a business thanks to the threat of Brexit, it's a wonder they can smile at all. Well done Simon, Xavier, Maryline and the team.”

“Very helpful staff, made a preorder very easily on the website and then adapted it in the store! We were able to taste wines before we brought them and staff were very happy to let us taste a variety which was great when buying for a wedding!! Prices were so good and much cheaper than uk supermarkets they gave the cost of the travel back in return so it really is an amazing deal thoroughly recommend this place”

“To paraphrase The Elgins (TMG 583, 1966), "I want to thank you for the joy you've brought me." Well, not just me but clearly thousands of people who have made the trip to Calais Wine Superstore. Great wines, knowledgeable staff, taste before you buy and the tunnel paid for. What a shame that our trip last weekend may be the last - surely there is no better reason to stay in the EU or, at the very least, in a customs union!”

“Not the first time I have made use of the excellent free crossing deal from CWS, and it will not be the last. My order was ready and waiting, although I did add a few more cases before checking out, and the staff were on top form and could not be more helpful! I have seen many of the wines on offer in UK supermarkets, sometimes on "special offer" and in every case the claims made about savings by CWS hold up, in one ore two cases they are even understated. I am always impressed by this place and will continue to enjoy the excellent value for as long as possible. Lets hope Brexit doesnt come along and spoil things”
