“Helpful and friendly great wine bargains”

“This is our 3rd or 4th visit over the past few years, but our first 'pre order' trip which is a brilliant idea. We travelled from the north of England even with the cost of fuel it is still great value. Wine range and prices are excellent. Staff are very helpfull, although we didn't receive our wine guide, so we will just have to book another trip later in the year to collect it...!”

“This is our second trip to the Calais Wine Superstore and we have enjoyed both trips very much. We came over last year to buy the champagne for our sons wedding. They could not have been more helpful, we benefited from the tasting, and changed the order that we had placed on line. It was not too much trouble for them and we went off with 144 bottles of excellent champagne at a great price We came back this year to stock up on a great collection of wines at exceptional prices. We did the trip in a day on Eurotunnel. Excellent wine shopping and a great lunch and home for supper. A terrific day.”

“Very efficient procedure throughout - everything ready when I called to collect and prompt attention at the payment desk. I am very happy with the overall quality of the wines and the extremely reasonable prices. So far this time I have tried the Jacobs Creek sparkling (which is an amazing bargain) and the Ondine Sauvignon Blanc (most enjoyable). This is my second visit but not my last. Well done!”

“MASSIVE choice of wines (inc popular brands) from all over the world at all sorts of low prices (we saved c £200 off UK prices with our spend of £500 for the wedding). It really helps if you know what you want but if you don't, English-speaking & British staff are friendly, knowledgeable & very helpful and there is a tasting room for just about anything they stock (you may have to ask for the more expensive wines to be opened). Make sure you take a designated driver AND spit it out anyway (else you very soon won't care that you don't know what you bought - which rather misses the point!). Only 20 mins drive from Eurotunnel terminal and if you spend £250, they will (currently) pay either ferry or Tunnel crossing - saved us a further £60.00 (in fact, as we spent just over £500, they gave us a second return crossing voucher, valid for 1 year). Easily managed in a day (from Wiltshire), albeit a long one with an early start. WILL go again.”
