“Didn't enjoy it at all, soup was good, we ordered turkey, came, Luke warm, seemed like frozen roast potatoes and don't think veg was fresh, bill came to £34 we gave £40 in and waitress asked us did we want our change. Too right we did, won't be going again”
“We met some friends in the Stable Lounge last Sunday evening The lounge itself is very well furnished but would be much more welcoming if better heated”
“Hello ,
Mrs Sue Roberts here,
We met up with some friends today in the Owls,
We all decided to have the 2 course,
A lovely bowl of soup,
Then!!! a turkey roast,
We just can't thank you enough,
It was absolutely fantastic,
You have a very good Chef,
and very, very nice staff,
A BIG thanks from thd 4 of us x”
“Customer service very good price for my prawn stir fry and my husband's chicken Cajun stir fry expensive for what amounted to a plate of onions. Very nice ambience, clean and welcoming”
“A bit confused about all the rave reviews of the food, the rice that came with our meal was microwave rice and the chips tasted like Sainsbury’s cafe chips? The chocolate fudge cake is also the exact same cake you get from Romeos (chicken shop takeaway in Chorley). The food wasn’t bad but it’s definitely not justified paying restaurant prices for. The venue is super nice and would have loved to make it a regular place but the food was just naff. Don’t know if there was a different chef cooking that night or what, but it was Wetherspoons calibre”
“A BIG thankyou to all the staff in the Owls in Standish,
I4 members of my family,
helped me celebrate my 75th Birthday,
all enjoying a fantastic Sunday lunch,
We were looked after from the time we arrived,
Everyone really enjoyed the afternoon.
Thankyou once again”
“This place seriously needs updating! Needs a whole new makeover. Very old fashioned. The food is a 4/10. The menus has been the same for years and years! The staff aren’t amazing, way too pricey for what you get! Needs new menu, new chefs and new decor. However there is plenty space for parking and is in a good location.”
