“I asked my husband to get me a sweater from The Irish Store for Christmas. On the Delivery and Shipping section of their site, it says, "We guarantee all customs duties and taxes are covered in the price you pay at TheIrishStore.com. Many other Irish Gift Retailers do not cover customs duty charges." And what did my husband get charged at the point of payment? Duties and taxes. There was no "Shipping & Free returns tab" to check per their instructions. Just a bait and switch.
When I spoke with customer service, the response was that our goverment charges the duty, so the Irish Store shoudn't have to pay it. What? Then don't say you'll pay it on your site. Be aware. The price marked is NOT the price you'll be paying for this product. False Advertising.”
