purchased a stunt scooter for my son for christmas , on Christmas day when we put the item together with a very exited son who thinks santa has delivered exactly what he asked for, we found the item had clearly at some point been used as there was damaged on the base scratches on the bar and a dirt on the base. The response we had was what date is suitable to collect the item, my response was that this is not ideal as I couldn't tell my son he couldn't use the scooter if you want to collect I need it replaced asap or we would have been satisfied with a small compensation as it was not a new item. They offerd a £10 voucher to spend with them!! I'm sorry but if you had only said we will refund you £10 and said how sorry you were that item was not in the condition it should have been in, but you called it a gesture of good will!! Which basically makes me feel incredibly annoyed as this implies I don't have a justified complaint, when you sent me a used item!!!! This has remained a topic of discussion among my friends who interstingly have their own dissatisfied stories,, oh how easily you could have satisfied a customer and failed.

Fed Ex lost my shipment which contained my 8 year old sons Christmas gifts from toys r us. I was so sad my son wouldn't have any gifts. The customer service person I spoke to at fed ex was very rude, when I asked how I would be compensated for what was lost he said take it up with toys r us. I went in to toys r us and the amazing store manager gave me all the gifts that fed ex lost and said he would take care of dealing with them. Amazing store and amazing store manager.

The young boy jack was so helpful got me what I needed took to check out and even to my car for me perfect.

I reserved an In The Night Garden Pinky Ponk toy using their Click and Collect service at the Stockport store. I received an email and text with the reservation number which was great as I didn't need to print anything to take with me. When I arrived at the store I asked at the front desk where to go for Click and Collect and they kindly directed me to the correct desk. I went over to the Click and Collect desk where I waited 15 minutes for someone to come along to serve me. A man came along and asked what I was there for and I explained I had reserved an item and he said 'OK I'll be back in a minute' - that was the last I saw of this man. Around 5 minutes later another man came along to serve me so I gave him the reservation number and he went to get the toy. He came back with a Ninky Nonk toy. I explained that this was not the correct toy. He was not impressed by this so he went and printed my order and asked if it was the correct name, which it was, then he said you have reserved a pinky ponk and showed me the order. So I said yes but the toy you have given me is a Ninky Nonk. He then said that they were the same thing so I said that they are not and I already had a Ninky Nonk for my son. He argued that I was wrong and that they were the same thing. I told him that I had seen a Pinky Ponk toy on a shelf on my way to the desk so he would know that they do stock them. He then said I would have to go and get a Pinky Ponk for myself of the shelf the store and pay at a different till!! I did this and had to queue for anothe 5-10 mins to pay for it. Not impressed at all!!!

I bought a trampoline for my 2 & 5 year old granddaughters last week. Despite attempts by 4 adults we could not get it assembled correctly. The next day my husband and I took it back to the Chatham store. There then ensued an hour and a half of attempts by Manager Tania Carver and Ann Rennie (supervisor) followed by Julia Thomason (manager) and Lee Delaney (supervisor) to assemble it.....give them credit they came close!!!! At all times they were hard working and concerned to achieve customer satisfaction. They must have been exhausted after their efforts as pulling the tension on the elastic was VERY hard. In the end we came home with a little tikes trampoline...which is now much enjoyed by the two girls! I want you to know that this is again much appreciated service!!!

Hi I brought a Lego technique set from toys r us Stockport . The Lego set was 100 pound after building it I found some pieces missing in the set I drove to Stockport and spoken to customer service at main reception she started to pull out the Lego pieces out the box then count all the tyres that were in the box she then started to flip through the book and look at Lego page by page I was standing there for 30 min before I asked her are you building it for me if you are ill pick it up tomorrow she said no I'm no she dropped some pieces on floor which she was in aware of and I didn't till her until I got close to what was going to happen next She went and brought manager the manager said we can open another box and give you prices out that box I said to her can you not do a swap she said no I asked what if I find pieces missing in that more and then what do I do she said well you will just have to come back we'll give you pieces out other box . I said that's too much trouble she said well thats up to you if you don't want to come back. I then picked the Lego set up and walked out store I then went to toys r us at Manchester near pickadilly and I was told the manager has left message for this store not to have it exchanged just to pick up pieces every time I need a piece I have to go to the store . I did the same I then tried the Bolton store and was told the same I was treated because I was Asian and this kind of reruns policy I have never seen anywhere if someone was disabled how would they keep coming to collect the pieces again and again Toys r us are worst company I ever brough toy from So people before you buy something from toys r us ask then to write down if parts or item is damaged they will take it back and sign it because this company is outrageous I have reported it to obudsman and trading standards

We will never ever order anything online from toysrus again. Their customer service has been appalling.

Will NEVER use ToysRUs again. It seriously took four days to get my in store pick up. And customer service is horrible.

I was given the worst customer service at ToysRUs . The employee cut me off, was very rude, and shoved my refund at me!

Terrible customer service. Refused to give credit note for full value because of lost receipt. Never shopping there again.

Since I've only heard bad things about Mothercare online, i decided to give Babies R us a chance. WEll I learned that it is no better then Toys R us and Mothercare. Your item won't come when it is supposed to and if it ever does show up, it won't be the right item anyway!

Toys R Us always has a buy 1 get 1 half off sale during the holidays so I like to take advantage of that when buying for all my nieces. They also had the one thing my son wanted for Christmas so I ordered everything online and I know that if I missed anything I have until the 21st to get an order in. Happy days!
