“Egypt is the best destination. This was our second trip to this amazing country and we enjoyed it as much as our 1st trip. Our guide looked after us very well and even contacted our previous tour guide on our behalf. We felt very safe at all times and hope to return when the new museum opens”

“Excellent trip and experience! Mohamed was just the best guide I could've asked for. Friendly, funny, filled without knowledge and the thrill to share it, he truly contributed into making me having the best holiday I hoped for, and realise my childhood dream by discovering Egypt and all its wonders. I will be back someday, and I truly hope I'll be able to see him again!”

“The Travel Local platform was easy to navigate. Lise was wonderful to work with. She was organized and knowledgeable. Lise's responses were timely using the Travel Local site. She made sure all our paper work was easy to understand which guided us everyday. We met on a Zoom call and it was delightful. Unfortunately, during our trip to the Christmas Markets in France, we experienced a medical emergency. Lise helped us the entire time, especially due to language barrier. She rearranged all that was necessary to make sure we were safe and could return home for medical treatment. I know Lise went above and beyond the call of duty. She really showed us much compassion during this time. I highly recommend Travel Local with Lise.”

“Just spent 2 1/2 weeks on the Amalfi coast, arranged by travel local and Dragonfly tours. We had excellent service both before our trip and during it. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. There was a perfect mix of free time and booked excursions. Our driver was amazing and the hotels were great. It was easy to arrange - it was all good.”

“Travel Local organised the perfect trip of a lifetime to Uzbekistan! The service at the time of booking was very good. During the trip, the local staff arranged all matters very efficiently. Everything ran very smoothly from day to day. The guides at each destination communicated with each other to ensure the coordination and movement from place to place. The hotels especially in Bukhara and Samarkand were amazing. I will be using your services again.”

“Through TravelLocal, we got an unforgettable holiday organized in Iceland. Having a UK travel agent was great and gave us peace of mind that the arrangements were all insured and protected (esp with all the Covid uncertainty). It also meant that we got connected with a reputable and sound local agent. The local rep (Saemi from Activity Iceland) had a terrific knowledge of the country, and he took time to understand what we wanted from a holiday and tailor an itinerary that suited us and our teenage boys (15 & 17). He had really good knowledge of the various attractions and the itinerary was well judged wrt timings, i.e. how long we would likely spend at each attraction and how long it would take us to travel between them. The hotels chosen by Saemi worked really well, especially Hotel Kria in Vik which had a games room which our boys enjoyed each evening. Among the many, many highlights of the trip were the horse riding on the black beach, zip-wiring in Vik, the lava show (fascinating!), the boat trips, the amazing scenery including gorgeous waterfalls and of course the fabulous food. The one hiccup we did have on the holiday was dealt with by the local rep, Saemi, brilliantly. We definitely recommend TravelLocal!”

“Travelled to Uganda with Travel local using adventure committee as the tour operator in Uganda. Had a great time, really well organised and good accommodation all round. Our driver was fantastic, went out of his way to make the trip special and help us see as much as possible. Would highly recommend seeing the mountain gorillas if you can in your life, truly special. Would definitely use travel local again and would recommend adventure committee in Uganda in particular for anyone looking for a fantastic trip.”

“We went to Argentina, (4of us), primarily to Mendoza for wine country, and visited Iguazu Fall, and Buenas Aires as well. Florencia helped us with the itinerary, and everything was wonderful. Extra stars for MENDOZA! We wish we had more time there. What we want you to know is that our guides (the first one was Gabriella, I think, and the second was Fernanda for the second wine tour in Uco valley). They are OUTSTANDING WINE EXPERTS! Fernanda is star, star PLUS! Wow! Gabriella is Star star also! So knowledgeable, and lovely, and the wineries were great choices and the paired lunches fantastic. The locations were magical. Big thanks to them. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 And we got the wine contacts for where to buy these fabulous wines in California. Iguazu is also a magical place. We visited both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. Instead of staying with our arranged tour for the Argentine side, we opted to take a taxi a little bit later. The O2 Hotel staff are SUPER friendly and helpful. They arranged a taxi for us to and from the falls. And, they help with all the paperwork for the Brazilian side. Another day in Iguazu would have been nice. Buenas Aires went well. The Tango show and city tour were very fun. We are not big city people, so after the trip.me portion ended, we were more content to move to the Palermo area to just enjoy the local smaller areas. “We had never booked any trip through an agency before, but the vision of Travel Local plus the Covid clauses gave us confidence to go ahead. We were not disappointed! The contact with the local tour operator Jetwing Eco Holidays through their portal was easy and quick. The use of local agencies appeals, as they know the country very well and Usiru's arranging of the tour was brilliant. The customer care in arranging our holiday was evident - the trip was really tailored to what we wanted, not a standard tour. The replies were quick and detailed and as travelling during the pandemic isn't the easiest, his list of all the things we had to do with links and a step-by-step guide was one of the best things. Especially since 8 out of 10 travellers at the border were not having their paperwork in order and we just breezed through customs! The entire trip was brilliant - the exact combination of hotels, destinations and time travelled we wanted with a local guide Mahina who was the cherry on the cake with his knowledge and care. The booking and payment process was easy. We had an amazing holiday in Sri Lanka and would use Travel Local again in the future.”

“Brilliant! Holiday to Mallorca in Sept 21. TravelLocal's local expert Ana put together an itinerary with 4 fab hotels, all different, dotted around the island, recommending each one based on her personal knowledge. She also booked some fab restaurants, one only accessible by boat or walking down a cliff path. It was great being able to communicate with her online via TravelLocal and also by phone a couple of times. Have now booked my next trip with TravelLocal for this summer. Highly recommended.”

“I began communications with Viraj at Travel Local in November 2021, for a holiday we planned for January 2022. Sadly in the end we were unable to make the trip but the effort Viraj put in to helping me plan our route, advising on issues of accommodation, drivers, etc was extensive and excellent. He has a huge amount of local knowledge, perfect English and was courteous and understanding all the way. If you need a tour operator in Sri Lanka, I can’t imagine you would find better.”

“Travelocal gave us exemplary customer service, accommodating our requests and proposing an itinerary that suited us perfectly. Through multiple delays and rebookings due to COVID, Alessandra supported us and amended our schedule where necessary so that it ran without a hitch. She was always quick to respond and the accommodation she found for us was excellent in nearly all cases. Bookings made by her in restaurants and bars gave us prime seats with the best views. Even though she was affected by a close family death, Alessandra was very professional and made sure we were fully prepared for our imminent departure. The price, although expensive, reflected the excellence of our 3 week stay in Italy.”

“We were delighted with all aspects of the planning for our trip to Indonesia and with our final itinerary which combined tourist attractions, local experiences and a break to visit Indonesian friends. We were due to go in June 2020 but with the onset of Covid accepted the offer to postpone to October 2020, then June 2021 and then September 2021! After much deliberation, we decided we would prefer to cancel and rebook at a later date rather than postpone further. Our request to cancel was agreed within 2 days and a refund received within 12 days. We are keeping our itinerary and will have no hesitation in rebooking with Travel Local and their Indonesian partners Tari Travel once we feel ready to travel. Our thanks to all involved.”

They put me in touch with an agent they work with, in Brazil, sadly due to Covid I had to cancel this particular trip but I will use them again without a doubt. “Travel local really helped us to create a holiday that we had wanted to do; it was tailored to our specific family needs and we were so looking forward to it but then...... Subsequently they were happy to transfer our holiday to 2021 and we were keen to continue and support them and other local businesses but then Peru remained on the red list. Since then, they have supported us through the process, offering to extend the holiday and giving us the option to get a refund which we reluctantly had to take due to change in circumstances. We will definitely use them again as they were so helpful, kept us in the loop and had created such a special holiday that we were sad to have to lose. Thanks to all the team in UK and Peru.”

“It is tough times for travel agencies but I have found travel local to be really efficient, firstly last year providing options to move dates and re-arrange schedules, and then when I could not go this year providing a prompt refund. When the uncertainty ends, and normal times return I will definitely use this company.”
