“Never again! Every time I travel from Switzerland to Italy, the trains are delayed. Literally NEVER have the trains arrived on time. This is a never-ending mockery of passengers who bought expensive tickets. On our last trip, the train from Bern to Milan was delayed by over three hours!!! Passengers were thrown out of their carriages onto the platform in Domodossola and forced to stand in the cold for over two hours, without being given any information. This is outrageous, just as it is outrageous that people have been waiting months for compensation and refunds for delays and cancellations.”
“Beware if you choose to ride this train! For my American travelers who think this is like any other train (like I did), this is the bottom of the barrel train service. Horrible! My wife and I bought 1st class tickets and were assigned rail car #7, almost in the back. The air conditioning went out numerous times in all cabins to the point that people were complaining and getting up to go stand in the middle vestibule area between trains because it was slightly cooler. When I asked about the air, workers would just say “air sometimes yes, sometimes no”. I will NEVER travel this company again. Just horrible all the way around.”
“Trenitalia canceled our trip because the employees took the day off. We had to make other travel arrangements and now Trenitalia has offered a 25% refund for services they refused to provide. Worst travel experience ever! Stay away from this terrible company”
