RS COMPONENT Worse service ever now. When started business was good and you can get next day delivery. Now they have listed too many things on website and saying available which after purchasd discover some is coming from Uk some from Germany and never on time 3-4 days. Dispointed!!! Far better service and quick from MOUSER , TME, FARNELL, DIGIKEY.

customer service & technical support was so bad. They couldn't provide professional support for our questions. Overall is quite the bad service that I've received. That's also the main problem that I do not dare to order with them. I believe they have bad after-sales service also. Their customer service was not that good, they kept transferring & transferring the call and then ended up hanging up your call. and their employees should literally go for product training la seriously.

Unfortunately this business is a shadow of its former self it started going wrong when the paper caterlogues were got rid of because you could look for products under the index now trying to find things online is very awkward there is no technical helpline when the staff were spot on RS are a great business but they are not as good as they once were

Customer support here is pathetic; I had a long list of components for a project prototype. I emailed rs components and also https://au.element14.com/. After a day or so, Element14 returned a list of components they could supply; I telephoned rs components, which were full of excuses and told me they would do this immediately. For one, I could hardly understand their customer support personnel who need to pronounciate English far better, and secondly, stop telling lies. I still have not received the list back or any questions as expected because the guy I spoke to was a completely lying idiot. RS COMPONENTS, you need to sort this out as it takes years to build a reputation yet seconds to tear it down. I'm hoping this will get a response from someone; if not, I'll have to post this on every review site and forum I can find.

Misleading delivery times and poor customer service! Recently made an order for items that were shown as being in stock ready for 1 day delivery. I placed an order and paid for guaranteed delivery for the next day as I needed this product by the end of the week. I then received an email about half an hour later saying they weren't in stock in the UK and would be delivered the following week. I immediately called their CS line, and was greeted by a pretty rude person who was intent on selling me a different size that wouldn't work. FYI their call center is not UK based so you get charged for this. I immediately went to their online chat and tried to cancel the order. They said they can't as it had already been dispatched. This was 13 minutes after making the order and not having received a dispatch notification that they always send, so it very clearly had not been dispatched in this time. Seems like they are just refusing to try cancel the order despite it being their own website showing misleading delivery times. I followed up with an email to them and their reply was that if I had contacted them immediately, I could have cancelled (which I did, and they didn't cancel it) but I would need to wait until they are delivered and return them at my own cost. I will be taking my business elsewhere now which is a shame as my company has used RS for a while now. There are plenty of component suppliers that don't lie about their stock levels and delivery dates in order to draw more business.

Shop elsewhere, you will when you check the prices they charge!!!. Dealt with RS for over 30+ years they have never been as greedy as they have over the last few years!!!. If you are a small business they care about you!!!

I would recommend that you do not rely on dhl to deliver your products. When i rang rs today to chase my missing order (ordered and paid for 2 weeks ago) I was informed that rs had sent it out promptly but since then, dhl has reported back to lto say they had attempted delivery on 2 consecutive days but no one was in. They also reported that on both occasions notification cards of missed delivery had ui been left. As there was no evidence of this, iI can only conclude that dhl failed to show up despite their statement to the contrary. I do have cctv and I could check, although i have not taken this action yet. What I have done however, is cancel the order. It goes within saying that my confidence in rs is at a very low ebb and I will be reluctant to order other products from rs due to dhl poor delivery performance. Maybe you should look into this matter and see whether other customers have experienced similar problems

Postage costs are extortionate. I only use RS if I have to.... $35 postage for a small 240g parcel!

Failure to provide a return or collect the item. Long holds, many excuses and apologies but no resolution or refund.

Shipping is outrageous compared to the old Allied Electric and no response from customer service

Since RS moved to using DHL as their preferred courier, their delivery service is absolutely diabolical, twice we were awaiting delivery of crucial components and twice they stated, untruthfully, that they tried to deliver without success. Come on RS COMPONENTS, get you act together and ditch this cowboy company.

HORRIBLE RESPONSE TIME, IF THEY DO RESPOND. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY TRACE ON THEIR PARTS. NOR DOES THEIR SALES TEAM OR EMPLOYEES UNDERSTAND WHAT A MFG C OF C IS. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN

Terrible experience. I wish I went somewhere. Massive delay. They said it was delivered when it wasn't. The tracking says it was delivered. Probably it was dropped in some unknown place and marked as delivered by UPS. Refused to refund. Really horrible.

Paid for a 1.4 meter long £165 antenna, I was sent a £3 ferrite clip in a jiffy bag. I spent some time online replying to eMails and entering into online chats to explain the problem, and I provided photographs of the incorrect item, the packaging, and the tiny bubble wrap pouch it came in. I was told an error was made and that a replacement would be sent out to me next day, and to print out their return label for the incorrect item. I was told that they didn't have the ability to collect the incorrect item at the same time as delivering the correct one. The following day the delivery person came again with yet another jiffy bag. I could see what was coming.. clearly I was sent the wrong item again. He wasn't aware of the collection so it remained with me. I advised RS in yet another chat and further emails. I was given more return labels to print out at my expense and was assured my order had been dispatched the previous day. Day three came, a knock at the door. I assumed this mess was now dealt with and was about to sign for my new antenna. The person at the door had no goods for me, but was here to retrieve one of the incorrect items. I spoke again to RS via email and their website. To my surprise they still hadn't dispatched the McGill 7.5dbi antenna I ordered, claiming that they are still trying to locate it in their warehouse, in contradiction to their claim the previous day that they had located the item and the 2nd incorrect item was sent out before they realised the error. Now three days since paying £166 for my "next day delivery" antenna I've still not got what I paid for. I've asked RS what they intend to do about it and they tell me they are still trying to locate the item in their warehouse. It's not terribly difficult to see that a 3 inch by 4 inch jiffy bag doesn't contain a 7.5dbi 1.4 metre microwave antenna, and one would think that these issues would ensure a person of sound mind picking the stock could be asked to actually look at the item and label in their stock bins. I'm beginning to feel as if I've ordered from a scam website, I've had better received orders from wish.com. I've now made a direct request that I am refunded so that I can pay the additional £10 saving to McGill directly for my antenna. I have had no reply. It is now 3pm on Friday and clearly this is now going to drag on to the middle of next week. I've wasted three days at home for deliveries that didn't come, I've wasted hours responding to tone deaf emails asking me if I could please restate my complaint with order numbers, account numbers, addresses and phone numbers I've already given over and over and over again. This is without a doubt the worst and most negligent online ordering experience I have ever had the misfortune of finding myself in. Do yourself a favour, don't buy from RS, find out who the OEM is and order from them directly. Your time is worth more than institutional incompetence tantamount to postal fraud. I have reference numbers, order numbers, supply numbers and after sales reference enquiries coming out of my ears! Order/ After sales question 371900-2236590-3231006. Order reference 169091052 for stock 2370182. Order/ After sales question 371900-2236590-3234460. Enquiry ID number 86292547. Order/ After sales question 371900-2236590-3238309. Order/ After sales question 371900-2236590-3239937 Every new email they send me, every enquiry reference they give me, every new delivery response they send me, every new question number, every time they send me an incorrect product they give me a new order number, every time they issue a return label they give me a new returns number and order me to print out their labels with new tracking numbers. It's all nonsense. None of these numbers persist from one interaction to the next. I've ordered ONE product. I paid ONCE. I should have ONE order reference, I should have ONE tracking number. That should be the totality of my interaction with a business I buy a product from! Instead, every time I respond to an email or chat request I'm talking to a new person who appears to be working entirely from the notes left by the previous person, new garbage numbers are issued. One interaction has no link to the previous one, their customer service staff have the text recognition capabilities of a Windows 95 486DX hand operated photo scanner. To add insult to injury I was contacted again on the 9th May to advise me that they will not be giving me a refund until 3x parcels are collected to retrieve their £4 clip. The incompetence here is astonishing. Firstly they sent out the wrong item twice, not three times. Secondly, they already collected one last week. Thirdly, how DARE they hold MY MONEY TO RANSOM while they clean up their mistakes? I've wasted so much time since ordering on the 3rd May, and STILL I neither have the product or my money. INCOMPETANT.

I hade the most frustrating experience with RS Components. After receiving faulty thermostat I ordered another one, again faulty. I had 28 exchanges of emails with 7 different people result: I couldn't get the replacement of those 2 components worth less than10 €. A truly kafkaesque customer services.
