When I first signed up with UK Startups, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I had an idea for a business, but no real structure, no financials, and absolutely no understanding of how funding or grants actually worked. The first 30 days were focused heavily on building my foundation my business plan, financial projections, and really thinking through the details of my business. I won’t lie, it wasn’t easy. There was a lot of back and forth with the Experts, and at times it felt overwhelming because they were asking questions I hadn’t even considered before. But looking back, that process was exactly what I needed. They were very patient, detailed, and clearly knew what they were doing. Once everything was completed, we moved into the funding search phase. The Experts continued to provide me with programs and opportunities, but I hesitated. I think a big part of me was unsure and a bit afraid to actually move forward with applications. It’s one thing to prepare everything, but another to take that next step. Even during that time, they stayed consistent sending options, explaining things, and encouraging me without pushing unrealistic expectations. Around the 60-day mark, I decided to move forward more seriously, and the Experts actually helped submit applications to 3 different grant programs on my behalf. That gave me a lot more confidence, knowing things were being done properly. Then around 90 days in, I received my first approval for £10,000. That was a huge moment for me and really validated the entire process. The other two applications didn’t get approved, which was a bit disappointing at first, but the team quickly helped me understand that this is normal and part of the process. They recommended continuing with new funding searches rather than stopping there. I followed their advice, found additional programs, applied again, and ended up securing another £7,000. Overall, what I’ve learned is that this isn’t an overnight process it’s about preparation, persistence, and taking action when the opportunities come. UK Startups gave me the structure, the guidance, and the support to stay on track. If you’re expecting instant results, this probably isn’t for you. But if you’re willing to put in the effort and follow the process, the results can absolutely come over time

£5,500 in grants

I was in a rush for funding, but working with my experts, I quickly realised to not rush things. Instead, they showed me how to take the time to give thoughtful, well-explained responses in the business plan, with the financial statments, and even with my PitchDeck. At the end, it made the whole process feel much more manageable and the funding situatiuon by far greater.

After working with UK Startups and improving my funding applications, I managed to obtain £105,000 to scale my logistics company. Their team really understands the funding process.

I had a lot of questions at the beginning and Noreen was very patient explaining everything. Later Justin helped review my business plan and guided me on the funding search. Justin helped me apply for a 10k grant and later, approved for £18,000 more in funding from a couple of smaller programs.

My experince didn't start positively at all. Intitially, i assumed I fell for a scam but after clarifying the process, the steps and service, working with Justin proved to be the best step in my business that I could have taken. With his help, I w was able to access £130k in grants and taxable benefits to expand my distribution business. This was far from what I expected but am glad it worked out the way it did. Justin, I owe you big time and when you're around, hit me up!
Helpful Report
The grant funding process was much smoother than I expected as it was not complicated at all. I assume this isnt the case for everyone but my expert Justin was a solid guy
Helpful Report
Justin and the team are very knowledgeable and relentless when it comes to applying for all the grants you can receive.
