“Before working with UK Startups, I honestly thought funding was only for people with connections or perfect credit. I had been rejected twice already when i tried on my own and was ready to give up. After calling into to speak with an agent, I was convinved that 3rd time is the charm, so i joined/ Beth took the time to explain where I was going wrong, helped me fix my projections, and showed me how to present my business properly. It wasn’t about making things look fake — it was about clarity and structure. After following the steps they gave me, I applied for the promoted grants £24,000 general grant; 2 of the £10k grants and the £40k towards technology. I didn't get it all but I was approved for £63,400, which allowed me to hire my first employee and invest in proper equipment, finish my website and app. I don’t think I would’ve gotten approved without that level of guidance. It wasn’t rushed, and I never felt like just another number.”
