“I joined UK Startups hoping to find some funding options, but soon realized I was in a big mess with my business and really needed expert help to get me out of it. I spent 6 months fixing it all. Without Justin and his team, I would have been in the hole at least £100,000 so my review isn't about funding, but really saving money and working with a team that knows their s*it!!!”

“Really appreciated the support from the team. Yasmin helped me understand how the platform works and Beth helped refine my business plan. I was a bit dissapointed because I had to pay an extra £250 for my plan to be put toghether as I had no idea how to do it, or time to do it via their platform. But in the end, this all worked out as I was about 500 pounds in but approved for £22 thousand in funding.”

“I signed up for the service looking specifically for grant-based funding opportunities, particularly tech grants, based on how the service was explained during my initial phone consultation I was to expect many. The reality is that many actually means 4-5 funding options. I wasn't too happy about it, but did access them all for 75k in grants over 3 months. I thought that was it, but noticed that grants come and go and I was able to see many more opportunities come in over the next few months. So, truth is, work at it, apply to all grants, don't miss any and stay in the loop with your expert.”

“After submitting detailed information about my business, the funding report I received included a mix of loans, equity investors, and accelerator programmes rather than being focused mainly on grants as I had expected. I did correct this right away as my aim was just grants. The team quickly adjusted and started to provide me guidance on just the grants. Thought this would have been an issue, but the experts were always on and truly there to help. I submitted my first application for £15,000, which was a grant and in 4 weeks I recieved an approval confirmation.”

Justin reviewed my plan and gave great feedback. Eventually I secured about £25,000 in funding, which really helped get my business moving. One big differnce from what I expected is that I was under the impression after speaking with Sophie that they apply for you but later to find out that there were just some programs they can apply. The rest, I had to go back and forth with Justin to acctually submit. This wasn't hard at all and Justin was extremely helpful, BUT, it did put me in the middle of it when I was busy.”
