“UKstartups.org was a super helpful resource in finding all relevant government grants and awards. With their support I found 3 grants. £1000, £2,500, £5000 and a £5,000. I came in asking for 20k but versus getting a loan, they really worked with me to gear my business plan and needs into matching these few grants. Thankful to them as prior to this I didn't think it was a possibility. The grants search was a good process. The only think that was not as explained was that I had to fill the applications in.”

“I applied to 5 grants in the past 80 days with great results. Joined UKStartups in late October after speaking with a sales agent about my mental health app. I was told that going into year end there were multiple grants and I jumped to it. Got the help with the set up and applied to first grant at end of November. Here is the timeline; 1. I applied for a £5,000 grant for wages. Didn't hear back until a month later, but have approval for £3800 2. applied for a £1500 grant and was accepted 42 days later 3. applied to a £10000 grant for development cost and was approved 24 days later for £8000. 4. I applied for the 35k grant and was approved for £25k, but 65 days later I also applied for smaller grants which unfortunately I was not approved as of yet and one grant application for technology was declined because my business is registered in my husband's name, not 50% mine. All that to say, UK Startups did right by me and helped me obtain the initial capital I needed. My goal is to continue accessing all applicable grants moving forward for 2025”

“We paid £269 for our membership and didn't get a chance to use it right away but now that I logged in, I can see the benefits of it. Our plan is done within a week and we are in the process of getting approved for funding (were told we are pre approved). The platform was most helpful with this process and ensuring our plan was good.”
