“Upshift is a great way to work but only if you can find a job. With Upshift's popularity growing it is getting harder and harder to find certain jobs. In some instances, up to 42 people are vying for the same job. You used to be able to work enough jobs in a week to cover your bills. Not anymore. Now you just make enough for extra spending money. Also, employers are reducing hourly pay due to the increased number of people looking to work. :(”

“I would recommend others to use upshift. Upshift provides the option to manage your schedule. The best thing about upshift is that you're not contracted with an employer and you're not obligated to return to back to a place you don't like. Upshift will remove you from the platform regardless of any situation you experience if you're not able to cancel the shift. Life happens and there are things that we don't have control over. Upshift will permanently remove you from the platform if you cannot cancel the shift within a specific time frame regardless of emergencies, illness, accidents, etc. There should be a call outline as well for others that cannot access the internet at the moment to avoid being removed from the platform. As an independent contractor, I definitely understand the purpose behind the policy. Overall, Upshift is legit and a great platform to use”

“I love Upshift! And have recommended it to many friends. I think the offerings are diverse and payment is very prompt. I will definitely continue to pick up shifts! :) I do want to share a thought though about an area that could use improvement. Upshift has become quite large but it’s mostly impossible to speak with someone real time. Early morning or late night I totally understand. But normal business hours? It’s a runaround and I don’t feel like poking around texting someone who may or may not answer about something that needs resolved or there is a question about. I think one time I literally texted over the course of two-three days to clear my name (or try) about an event and why I couldn’t make it…in line with this concern, I realize this is gig work and you have pretty straightforward rules that are easy to follow - but I was locked out for a very lucrative week during the holiday timeframe last year due to a flat tire (unfort the flat was my third call off under 24 hours). It was an extremely early shift and I even took pictures of the flat and sent them over…nope, no exception to the rule. I understand… well, sort of...but it bothered me that I was now compared against someone who literally doesn’t show up and therefore, locked out with zero debate. Anyway, overall I love Upshift but thought I would offer a few of my thoughts. Thank you for the opportunity to review!”
